DVD recomdations

Cathlete
Hello. I need some DVD recomdations for my Christmas wish list. I love doing high cardio, interval workouts, anything thats advance. I own Drill Max, Kick Punch and Crunch, Boot Camp Muscle Endurance, and Core Max. Like I said I love high cardio interval workouts, alterate on high and low weights. Any recomendations would highly be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi lulu68,
Could you please explain a bit what you mean by "high cardio"? Hi impact or hi intensity (or both? :p) Do you only want circuit workout suggestions or do you like interval style (cardio only) too?
I'm happy to enable you with LOTS of suggestions once I know what you're looking for!

Chocolate IS the answer, regardless of the question.

Hi Jonahnah, I love doing both circuit workouts and interval style too. I also have a question about weight training. For the longest time, 10 years plus I've been doing weights both heavy and light in the same manner. Example: I will do triceps, biceps, and shoulders, than repeat again triceps, biceps, shoulders, I will do between 4 to 6 sets of this, regardless if I'm lifting light or heavy. Its work for me for a long time, but I'm getting a bit bored and I'm wondering if I could benefit from switshing it up a little. Any recomdations? Thanks Jonahnah!

Hi! What about cardio fusion? Or should I purchase them each individiully? Thanks!

I think the choreography in Cardio Fusion would be difficult (but not impossible) to follow without having done the individual routines b/c it's a compilation of the fast portions of other routines. I haven't done it in a while, so maybe someone else can chime in here. But man, what a workout!

For intense cardio interval- the IMAXs. Imax 3 is the most intense, Imax 2 is the most fun.

For circuit training: The terminator is killer.

I love Body Max 2 as well--great premixes too.
Imax 2 and Cardio and Weights (they're on the same dvd) are both really good with wonderful music. Also, Imax (aka Interval Max) is another goodie and it comes on the same dvd as Max. Intensity Cardio (great workout!) and Rhythmic Step (complex choreography and one of my faves)
High Step Challenge and High Step Training are both circuit workouts with varied weight work and easy to follow cardio. If you don't have a high step, you can use a regular step.
HTH!

Also, I'm not a weights expert by any means so I'd suggest posting your weight training question on the open forum. You'll get lots a terrific advice from knowledgeable people. Good luck!

What about 4 day split, body max, and butt and guts wondering why they weren't suggested. Thanks!

Lourdes

Butts & Guts is one of my favorite lower body weight workouts! I didn't include it because I was focused on cardio recommendations!

I don't own Body Max 1 so I can't comment on it.

As for the 4 day split, I've only tried the Kickboxing workout so I can't answer as to the weights or the other 3 cardio workouts. I've previewed the Boot Camp part of 4DS and it looks like a space hog and higher impact than I prefer. I also wasn't as crazy about the KB part myself, JMO though, others have really liked the whole series. I will be trying the 2 4DS step workouts soon though.

Oh I love 4DS!! One of Cathe's best, IMO.

and Butt and Gutts is my all time favorite lower body workout.

Body Max is also good, but I'd put this behind 4DS and B&G.
