DVD Question

Hi guys

I have read Cathe's DVD thread but did not see anything about this. So, maybe you guys know something I don't.

The DVD player in my workout room plays all Cathe's DVDs perfect (thank god!) but I just got a new DVD (MTV Pilates Mix - thanks for the suggestion Laura... I like it a lot!) and it skips and freezes on my dvd player. Now, I hoped it was the disk so I could get a new one, but fortunately/unfortunately it plays OK on my other 2 DVD players. My question is... I want to work out in my workout room... is there any tricks to try to make it play right on that DVD player?

The first thing I would try is cleaning it.
When you look at the back (plain side), do you see any scratches? Maybe your one DVD player is more sensitive than the others.
Beyond that, I don't know enough about DVD compatibility issues to help.

Thanks Kathryn, I did try cleaning it, just with a cloth - no pledge, however, I don't see any scratches on it.

Appreciate your input though. Anyone else?

I wish I knew....one of my cathe workouts freezes. I can still hear it fine and it only happens a couple of times and not for long. Its just frustrating because like you I tried cleaning the dvd (no scratches at all on it), the dvd player and its a very new dvd. Just bummed and wanted to see if I could snag a few suggestions too.
Hope yours stops skipping and freezing clears up!
