DVD Player problems.......... any advice??

I have a Toshiba DVD player multi-disk. When playing the different segments of DVD's (for example Sharon Mann DVD), the DVD player seems to get stuck between segments and stops playing. This gets very frustrating because then I have to stop my workout and try to reprogram it or start from the main menu.

It makes a churning noise as if it is trying to get to the next segment but it can't. I noticed this happened between segments of Cathe's Slow and Heavy series...

Does anyone else have these problems? At first I thought it was the DVD's but now I am seriously wondering if it is the player???

Does anyone have a great DVD player that they have had no problems with??

I had the same problem with that same player. I recommend to everyone that they buy a service plan that replaces defective players for free as many times as necessary within the warranty period specified in the service plan. You can buy the cheapest player and the plan together for about $70-its worth the money-at Best Buy. Those players are very touchy. I will say that I will not buy a Toshiba next time, when my warranty is up and I'm forced to buy a new one.

Hi I never had that problem and I program once in a while on different cd but they are all Cathe. I have the Sony 5 disc DVP something not sure exactly.

We had a similar problem and my DH took it back and bought a Mitsubishi (that was about a year ago). We have never had a problem with the Misubishi.
