DVD DILEMMA

Cathlete
I need all of your expert advice here. I have $100.00 to purchase cathe dvd's. I do not own any yet so you see my dilemma I want to make the best decision possible. I read all the descriptions. If you were to ask me my goal I would have to say my upper body is fine I would like to add muscle/definition. I have a little lower tummy to shed nothing significant. So my major focus is lifting the rear, thinning the inner/outer thigh and adding muscle definition. I w/o 7 days and I like to do cadio every other day. I am working (and I do mean working) on learning step moves. Most days I feel like I just am circling my step but I do want to learn. This is what I was thinking; The Cross Train Express for a little bit of everything and Gym style Legs. My second choice would be Kick Max, Gym Syle Legs, Muscle Max and I believe someone stated in a post to go with an older Step dvd to learn her moves better(Step Jam -Step Heat-Basic step). PLEASE HELP!!!! ALSO Do we sell Rock Bottoms on this site I have heard good things about this older one & I could not find it. The other one I heard about is Cardio and Weights I could not find this one either can you all help help me out on these.

WHEW! THANK YOU! Beth6395

CTX is an all-around great choice since it is designed to be used as cardio every day along with one body part (weights), as long as you are not impact-adverse, as this one does have a lot of high-impact cardio in it. (You can modify, but some folks don't want to.) I personally prefer Legs & Glutes to GS Legs, but that's just a personal choice and GS Legs is really good, too (and would work better in your price range). Eventually, you will get both, so it probably doesn't matter where you start! :)

If you are looking to learn Cathe step, the best early choice is Cardio Hits - three great workouts where the moves are really broken down. I have the Classics, too, but I find the workouts less motivating for some reason. Cardio Hits is just more fun for me.

Good luck! You'll get lots of responses as we LOVE to spend everyone's money on Cathe!

Beth,

I agree that I personally would choose Legs and Glutes/Kick Punch and Crunch first. GS legs is great but there's just something about L&G/KPC. That way you get great cardio and a great leg workout.

And as far as learning Cathe's step I say go for the BS/Body Fusion or the Low Impact Step DVD is your fitness level is more intermediate. Cross Train Express is great but the step can be a bit tricky at first if you're not familiar with Cathe. Also, her older ones are also great but I just like the newness of the other ones.

Oh and Cardio and Weights is on the IMAX 2 DVD.

Soon, you'll be like the rest of us and have them all anyway!:)

Let us know what you decide,

I could not tell from your post if you already own a club size step. If you do not, when I purchased mine it came with a Cathe CD of Basic Step and Cardio & Weights (this is not sold on her website but rather packaged to be sold with the step). It was great for learning. The drawback, no premixes. I will eventually get the IMAX 2/Cardio & Weights DVD as I heard that the premixes are great.

I just purchased the health club size step from fitness wholesale and it did not mention if it came with it. OH HOW I HOPE!

Thank you so much I guess Kick Punch Crunch/Legs and Glutes wins I'll have to go for it. I will let you know what I have decided.
