During Step Blast, the soles of feet were burning and numb...

I was wearing New Balance ankle socks (bought them for working out) and Ryka Nitracel sneakers. My sneakers are only worn indoor and about a 1 1/2 years old. But during that year and a half I was pregnant and didn't workout very much. My feet felt almost like the numbness from pins and needles. It didn't hurt bad enough to stop, but it was uncomfortable. Any ideas if this is my sneakers or the socks? Also, I workout on rug.

Generally (and I'm no expert) but when I had numbness with my running shoes it was the fit of the shoes. Are the socks thicker then you used to use perhaps causing your shoes to be tighter? Have you tried loosening the laces over the top of your feet? If none of these are contributing then I would go get fitted for different shoes. :) :)

Do you wear the shoes a lot though? The insides break down long before any wear and tear shows on the outside. I buy new workout shoes every three to four months. Otherwise, I feel the same kind of things you just described. I vote for the shoes as the culprit.
