Cathe...

What drives you to maintaining your fitness level. It seems in your videos that never have any trouble with ANYTHING! I struggle to find the time, then have to say "stop now and do a workout." You seem like the person who till this day, has a love for working out...admirable.

Mockkd23,

Drive/motivation - Cathe likes it so much, she has dedicated her life to fitness and providing it to those of us who get up before the crack of dawn to get our workouts in.

I get up at 4:15...get moving...get my workout in by 5...my workout has to be over very soon after 6 so that I can go down to the barn and take care of my horses...then, usually be 7:30 I'm rushing up to the house to jump in the shower...and getting ready for my full time job.

My motivation is how it makes me feel. How my riding is so much better, umung other things that I love about the way exercise makes me feel when it's done.

Without exercise...I'm tired. I'm cranky...and my office job is extreamely stressful...wihout my workouts...I'd probably go postal. Exercise helps relieve the tension...if I'm having a really crappy week...I put in a kickbox dvd, even if one isn't scheduled.

I always make time for exercise. No excuses...I just do it. It's my gift to myself...and my body loves it and according to the doctor...my body loves it, too.

Wow, that's very impressive! You make me feel like a slug. What time to you go to bed?

Deana,

Usually no later than 10, but this week has been tough...I don't really watch much TV. however...I got into Gladiator and Country Star...and well...they had their season Finale's last night...so I'm dragging butt now..

Healthy Habits

Thank you so much Mockkd23! Try as best as you can to get yourself in the habit of working out....just like brushing your teeth. I definitely have days where I say "ugh, not today", and if it is a valid feeling based on what happened that week, I take that day off. But if I am just lacking motivation I tell myself "just do 10 minutes", and generally once I get past that 10 minutes...I'm in...but if not I respect that I gave it my best effort and shoot for a better tomorrow. The key is to at least make the effort, no matter how little it is on certain days....just do it! So go ahead and make the time for yourself...you are worth it:D

Motivation

That is actually a good tip...I'm the kind of person that has to tell themself out loud too. "Just do it." Oh, wait, I think that's Nike...that's copyrighted...I'll say "Just do 10 minutes." haha. I think the right time is my problem. Right now my wife is deployed to Iraq (She's military too!), so it's just myself and my 3 kids. I've always been the cook, and the cleaner of the family, but she fills in for the homework/school issues, so I'm actually a little behind in getting paperwork ready for school...Tomorrow some is due! It is really hard to go during the day at work, so I think I'll have to sacrifice a little sleep by doing it before I get the kids ready for school. I know what you're thinking...I should be doing it right now! Actually, I did just do the core abs. I just finished a college course last week, and don't have one again until September--so tonight I am going to do some weights. Well, thanks for the reply...now it's of to weights...before I get too tired!

Kevin;)
