Drill Max revisited

I hadn't done DM since I started KBs for circuit sometime last summer. So just for kicks I pulled it out last w/e. OMG! I was in a puddle! That 6th drill just kicks my rear end! Well, they all do, but I'm pretty much cussing like a truck driver by the time I'm done #6. It will always have a huge dread factor for me.

I always laugh during drill 5 glute work when Cathe says "click those heels!" All I can think is "there's no place like home.........." :p

I will be using this one to lose post-preggo fat, when the time comes. I always, no matter what the temperature is, turn into a puddle after this one! I actually like to do it in the humidity of the summertime, with no a/c on just to be extra sweaty! It is the bomb!

Don't take this the wrong way, but YOU'RE OUTTA YOUR MIND!!!:p:p
This one requires full blast a/c in the summer, and turning the heat off in the winter. Otherwise, I'm apt to fall off the stability ball in my own slippery sweaty mess. But I love this one. None of the drills are that bad individually, but when they're all thrown together like that, woosh! Those squat thrust jump things at the end take every ounce of willpower to get thru.

Nan

I have to agree with Clarissa on this one! Summertime high heat, high humidity and DM is one fabulous combination!

**scratches head** Why?

Because we are strange!

Seriously though, I do have to agree that the ball is very slippery when your palms and arms are slick. Luckily I workout in pants always (I know, weirder yet) so I don't have the slippery knee issue too!

OK you guys are nuts. :p You will not find me exercising in the summer without the a/c going full blast & some ice water nearby. Winters are A-OK since I work out in the basement & it's pretty chilly down there in the a.m.--this morning I had to wear a sweatshirt!

Yeah, pushups on the ball, pretty much impossible w/sweaty palms!

Um, pretty much impossible at all. I suck at those.

For me it's just because I LOVE the heat and humidity (also I have Raynauds Syndrome so the summer heat is about the only time my fingers and toes actually have feeling - HA). I just feel really cleansed when I sweat a lot from exercise in heat and humidity. And DM is a great sweatfest. I know I'm weird and I certainly don't think most anyone else likes those hot days nearly as much. Oh - and I never run my AC.

Yuk, I hate to sweat :p Give me AC!!! I am spoiled :D

Since we're on the topic of Drill Max (sort of, since it is now about AC and sweating...I'm somewhere in the middle on that) I did the ultra cardio premix this morning- the one that is 63 minutes. OMG, I thought I was going to DIE! (I'm also dramatic in case that is in question.) It did cardio drills 1-6 and repeated each drill TWICE! Insanity. I don't know that this premix will be on the table again for quite a while.

ETA: Pushups on the ball? I suck at those- I have to push the ball up against the sofa to even attempt it. Otherwise I'm flat on my face.

You know when I first tried pushups on the ball? In Tracey's Core Strength & Conditioning. They were tough at first, but I got them eventually. But I still do have a tough time b/c my hands are so sweaty by then!

That cardio premix sounds like something I will NEVER EVER try! LOL!
