Drill Max and Butt & Gutts Question

Hello Cathe.
After reviewing the inteneries on both of the above titles, I was wondering if you found it beneficial to use a 6-8lb medicine ball in place of the stability ball, similiar to what is seen of the cover of Core Max? Especially for the alt. lunges on B &G, and Drill#3 for the hopping combo.
Granted, I have not had the opportunity to preview much of the videos since my DSL will not download till Monday night to really know for sure.

Your opinion will be truly appreciated.

If you already own a medicine ball, you can try using it once you receive your order. If you don't already have one, I would hold off until you do the workouts without one.
