Dream Body workouts

Hi poachedsalmon. I'm considering buying BodyFit 360. Can I ask you a few questions about it?

Are there are lot of lunges, pivots or moves that might tweak sensitive knees in the workout?

Did it make you feel like you worked out *hard*, or is it more of a "light" workout for days when you don't feel like exercising? I'm less concerned about feeling good after the workout, and more about feeling exhausted, haha.

How similar is Body Fit to Dream Body? In what ways it is similar or different?

Thanks very much for your input!

Hi Thaispice,

Was just about to respond, but saw you got your answer over at VF. I would certainly say that Dream Body and BodyFit are very different. Dream Body has a more frantic, hyper-speed and cardio feel to it while BodyFit is more fusion (plus, it's done barefoot). There are some moves that are done quickly but in a more controlled manner. I sweat doing BodyFit but not as much as when I do the DreamBody workouts.

I have only done the workout a couple of times, so I am trying to figure out exactly how to fit it into my rotations. I hesitate to say that it's a workout for a "light" day, because you do sweat and you do get a great workout, but you will certainly not feel exhausted afterwards. I guess it could be for a "lighter" day.

If you have sensitive knees, I would be very careful about not trying to match her speed on some of the moves as there is some pivoting. She usually demonstrates a move at a slow pace and then picks up the speed for the remaining reps. I would go at a slower pace until you feel comfortable with the move and how your knees react to it. If I remember correctly, there is a modifier on the right.

Thank you again. I hadn't read the VF responses before yours but they seem fairly consistent -- some torque-y moves but it's relatively slow compared to DB and would be a good way to force myself to take a break. Ah well, I guess have until Sunday (when the sale ends) to decide!

There were a lot of lunges, plie squats, and warrior type moves-it bothered my knees a little but not bad. Then you do some work on your knees and after all the lunges my knees hurt sitting on them (for camel, for example.) But its not anything like doing plyo scissors or jacks. I thought it was HARD-had to pause every 5 minutes. This would not be a light day workout for me!

Thanks everyone for your input. I didn't cave on BodyFit 360, and I feel good about that decision for now. I'm going to the orthopedic doctor this afternoon, so we'll see what he has to say about my knee.
