If anyone watched this show (about some "miracle" stories), I'll bet you would be less likely to complain about the petty stuff. I can't imagine going through what those families have lived with - just to fill you in: one family was about a mother whose husband died in a house fire the very day their daughter was born. The daughter has cystic fibrosous(excuse my spelling) and was very ill until she got a double lung transplant at age 20.

Another family's father was a hymopheliac (again, excuse my spelling! - a "bleeder" - and the segment told about his life and what his family did to take care of him.

It sure brings it home that we all need to be thankful for what we have!
Just Do It! :)

Yes indeed, and let me also add the pictures of the Hurricane Katrina victims still living in tents, hanging lights and decorations outside to make the holidays a bit brighter for their loved ones. We are so blessed aren't we? Happy holidays to you!

I didn't see the show, but I know what you mean. Any time my kids have a complaint, I always bring up the kids/families in New Orleans/Mississippi. They get that because they had seen pictures on the news. That gets them every time.

We do have indeed have a lot to be thankful for and should count our blessings!

its a reason we saved up change and cashed it in for viola to put in the salvation army buckets. everytime we went to the store i would give her a dollar or two to put in the bucket, and she would say merry christma to the bell ringer. she was having more fun giving out her presents to her teachers at school then actually opening any they gave to her. i wanted her to learn its feels so much better to give to those that need. its fun to recieve gifts but there is a greater gift with giving.

merry christmas,happy holidays,seasons greetings,god bless, etc etc
