Has anyone had any experience w/ Dove Energy Glow? I have heard pros & cons regarding this, and was going to try it out. Any thoughts?

Any good Self-tanning products you like? I am really trying to stay away from the tanning beds for the remainder of the summer...

Hi, I have been self tanning for the past few months and my skin is thanking me. I have completely stayed out of the sun and you wouldn't be able to tell due to the new self tanners. I have used dove but did not care for it. It never dried and i remained sticky all night. The gradual tan i love is Jergins gradual in the medium/dark shade. I'm fair skined but this gave me a nice gradual brown tan. Get the one that says "new scent" on it. It doesn't smell at all. I put it on every other day and people have complimented me on my tan. I have tried them all and i love this product. good luck

I have used the Olay gradual tanner and it is nice. For quicker results I use Loreal but can't think of the name right now. If you do a search on these forums, you'll find other info that is pretty recent. HTH

kariev, how fair are you? i'm a redhead with freckles and i use the jergens for fair skin. i get frustrated with it b/c i feel like it doesn't "build" on me at all. i need to put it on everyday and that's just to maintain a shade darker than my natural skintone. i've thought about going to the medium, but thought it might look too fake on me. what is your coloring like, if you don't mind me asking?

i have type 2 skin and when i don't go in the sun i get WHITE!!!! i too have freckles. i found that the medium/dark gradual gives me great color after one application similar to that of the fair regular sunless tanners. i found that the fair/medium graduals didn't tan me either so thats why i decided to try this one

What about fading? Whenever I used self tanners I never stayed "even" looking. How often do you apply and how often do you totally exfoliate?

with the graduals i never experienced bad fading unless i over applied it (4 days in a row). to start i did 2 days in a row and then i just do it every other day after a shower. my body wash has some exfoliating crystals in it so i'm doing a light exfoliation every day.

just to clarify, is this the jergens natural glow that you are using or something else?

yes, jergins natural glow but it says it has a new scent on the bottle. its by far the best smelling gradual tanner i have used

I bought Dove Energy Glow and it worked pretty well for me. I have very, very fair skin, so I bought the fair one.

Well, now my husband uses it! He puts it on the tip of his nose because he likes the way it smells. He's such a goof.
