DOMS, welcome back!

I have not felt DOMS in my legs in a long time. Even increasing my barbell weight for squats and such had no effect. Well, I haven't down a little beauty called Low Max in a while. Let me tell you my legs are feeling it today, and to me, it is such a good feeling ;)

I need to get some DOMS again. It is a nice feeling...int hat weird sort of way. ;) I haven't worked out in a while since things have been a bit bumpy in life. I am looking forward to joining Hannah and singing some "reunited and it feels so good" over a nice Cathe workout.
 
I'm sorry things have been bumpy for you Beavs. This week for me is going to be tough. My husband is going away on business and not coming home unitl Saunday. So no I get to play single-working mom. He normally watches them while I carve out an hour for a workout. Now I will have to wait until they are both in bed, which means a late workout, if I don't wimp out, which is the likely outcome. I am fighting it, but I know I am going to get off track, and I am going to be stressed and missing him and that all equals eating junk (I already smell the Doritos calling me). :eek:

Have you considered duct tape? it keeps the kids out of the way during workouts :p I too have been very stressed and I have to admit that fried shrimp dinners have eased the pain. I have some new healthy cookbooks with awesome recipes to try but alas, depression is conducive to busting out the cookbook and putting forth some effort required for making one's own food. Things will get better. It's only a matter of time. :)

Have you tried moving your workouts to early am before the kids get up? Maybe duct taping them into bed ? ;)

Going to Home Depot now to buy some. Great suggestion, lol.

I wonder why food is the first thing I think of when I feel stressed. I guess it's better than cigarettes, which is what I used to think about before I quit.

I have to get up at 5:30 to begin with, any early an dI think I would just tumble off the step, lol. Seriously, I am cranky and clumsy early in the morning.

I am just going to do it later in the night. I will have a hard time falling asleep anyway with him not being here. I am such a freakin' wimp.
