DOMS in Biceps ever???

Never had DOMS in biceps before. Did ME with bicep curls yesterday and though my muscles were on fire then, they are not now. Is it ever possible?

You know Charlotte, i am glad you brought this up. i have upped my weights a little in every body part and i really feel my muscles burning at the time of the the workout, but i haven't had DOMS in a long time....does this mean i am not working hard enough? I know i am getting slow but visible results, so what is the deal with that ladies?

I have gotten DOMS in my biceps a couple of times - and they were all a result of doing PUB. Never from any other workout. That one just seems to get in there and rip those muscle fibers apart like none other. At least for me. :)

What I read in Oxygen is that as your body becomes more fit, it rebuids a lot of faster. It sounds as if you girls are in great shape. Congratulations!
 
Hi girls! I think we get DOMS from PUB because there are 104 bicep curls in that work out. 52 thumbs forward and 52 palms up and all with a 2-2 count. I never get sore biceps from ME but sometimes with MM. You have to make sure the weights you chose will challenge your muscles. It took me a year - but I can finally do the bicep curls with the same weight as Cathe. I was sooooo happy that day!

p.s. and that day was only 2 weeks ago!

Good question! I never get DOMS in my biceps. I rarely get DOMS at all in my upper body anymore. I do get DOMS in my legs when I've run extra mileage, plus adding on a video like Volume 1.

Even PUB with the weights Cathe uses doesn't give me DOMS. I am thinking of upping my bicep weight in this one, but it's already pretty tough with the weight I use! :eek:
 
Well mostly what I have been doing is PUB or Tri's and Bi's. I use 20#'s for bicep curls for the 3 sets. I start out with 25#'s just doing hammer curls in the beginning to wake up my muscles...like 2-4 times. For the majority, 20#'s are pretty challenging enough for 3 sets as I can't figure out why my muscles are no longer sore. Oh, well.

PUB and GS-BSB give me some DOMS in my biceps. The most DOMS I ever got from bicep work was from Cathe's May rotation. I do get DOMS all the time from chest and back work, sometimes from tricep work. I'm weakest in my biceps. They also fatigue very fast.

I don't like Doms-so I am happy not to get them.when I do get doms I than question my diet that day.I have always believed that if you give the body what it needs to repair you won't get doms.I just always feel tight and pumped but rarely have Doms.And I lift heavy poundage for biceps and haven't had doms there for a while even when I moved up to my last wt increment.
