Does eating 2-3 hours make a difference?

Bottom line, it's how much you eat total, not how many times you eat. If eating every 2-3 hours helps, then make sure you're not adding extra calories by doing it.

I watch my portions more than anything else. I don't stress about when I'm eating, or even what I'm eating (to a degree). I just keep the amount to a level that suits me!

bump. i know there are more of you out there
;-)

I eat 3 meals but with 2 carefully planned snacks. One of the snacks is only a piece of fruit, not really a meal. I limit my total calories to 1500 a day (trying to lose 10 lbs that I gained while graduating and moving across country). I cannot imagine trying to eat every 2-3 hours, that would just be too much work to plan and eat more frequently. I already feel like I think too much about food by tracking my calories. Maybe it would be worth it if I had a lot of time and there were some scientific studies that said it would make the pounds fly off.

For me, personally, that is too much eating. I've slimmed down over the past couple months doing just breakfast, lunch, late after noon snack (sometimes), and dinner. When I was eating every 2-3 hours, the weight not only didn't go down, it went up. So now I'm very careful, and ask myself, am I really hungry, or do I just want to snack?
