Does anyone know a low fat tartar sauce.

Hi Karen :) :) :)
here are two recipes. I don't know that they are kid friendly because they are both a little spicy, but they are good.
Mayonnaise Substitute
(This tastes good even if you hate tofu...)

1 14 ½ oz package of Nasoya Lite Firm Silken Tofu, drained (Other brands are fine, just use Tofu that is Silken and Firm. This brand is especially low in fat.)
2-3 garlic cloves
2-4 t cider vinegar
½-3/4 t salt
water, as needed

1. In a blender, combine garlic cloves, vinegar and salt. Add some water as needed, just enough to get your blender to process this.
2. Add the drained tofu, and blend. Add water if your blender gets stuck.
3. Blend until completely creamy. It should look like very creamy and have no lumps.
4. Refrigerate for a few hours and use as you would use mayonnaise. It’s also good on top of baked potatoes, rice or pasta, and steamed or raw vegetables or fish.

Also, a good spice rub for fish:
1 T ground cumin
1 T ground coriander
2 T- 1/4 C olive oil
salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine the ingrdients and rub onto a thick-fish. Grill....

Tyler Florence has a good tartar sauce recipe you could make with fat free mayo or whatever. Do a search on the food network website for his recipe for fish sticks- it is on the side. (I made the fish sticks too and the kids loved them!)
