Does anyone else hate pictures of themselves?

Ha, enjoy every pic and have them taken often...I hated myself post partum, mom of young kids etc when they were taken. Now I look back and think - Oh I didn't look so bad, what a dewey fresh faced young woman I was! I imagine when I am 54 my 44 year old pics will look sweet! Trash the neg self talk and blame it on the photographer or equipment. :7

I avoid the camera as much as possible. I am always shocked at the old woman in the photo... because I do not feel like her. I have an internal picture of myself and seeing a photo blows all my imaginings away.

Having said that, however, I do wish I had taken "before & after" photos with some of the rotations I have done, or from when I began on this fitness journey. No one believes me when I tell them I used to be obese, and that if I could "do it", they can, too.

I had to provide a photo for the newsletter for a workshop I'm giving, and I had no photos of me, so spent a while getting one I liked. I think I look better 'in action' (or maybe I do photograph alright, and I just look worse than I think!!)

I usually don't allow pics to be taken of me - I have a dumb smile (my own opinion), but I look worse if I try NOT to smile!

I absolutely hate pictures of myself and run from the camera as soon as I see one lurking. A friend sent some pics of her and I at a recent conference and I truly wanted to cry at how bloody awful I looked.
