Do you typically gain weight in the winter?

I think I lose a little in the winter, I think it's because it's not as nice out and so I concentrate on my workouts even more. In the summer I'm out running around more but I also think because the days are longer I might tend to eat a little later in the day. Isn't that strange and the summer is the time of year I really want to look good because there is less clothing covering me.

I have a cycle that occurs every single year. Luckily, the fluctuation is becoming smaller as my eating is gradually becoming more healthy. I tend to lose weight from about July until February. And THEN, I think the winter crap gets to me and I tend to become depressed and inactive. I gain weight starting in February. It has nothing to do with Thanksgiving/Christmas, as that stuff doesn't affect me. We don't keep many sweets around at all, and I tend to not like the holiday meals! :O Am I weird? Well, except for the pumpkin pie......

I tend to lose in winter because I enjoy the weather so much more - the heat and humidity of summers in NY KILL me and by the time I get home all I want to do is stand in front of the a/c and not move. Winter I get much more energized and end up feeling like working out more as a result. I'm also lucky in that I am not at all tempted by holiday sweets, so overeating isn't a problem.
