OK, jumping in a little late, but I too like the low-rise pants. My belly is flat, but I feel a bit too old to be showing it. If only they had had this fashion when I was young!

I have long legs and a short waist, so this looks good on me. Anything that straps down my buttflaps is a good thing. I can't wear the new style of running shorts, I have to stick with lycra, but low-rise is OK!

I can still find "normal-waisted" jeans at Wal Mart, if that helps!! Plus, they're cheaper than most of the stores in the mall.
