Cathlete
YES I am ADDICTED! :7

So do you own all or most of Cathe's workouts ? And if so do you use them all in a rotation... or do alot of them collect dust ?
I am just trying to think ok laura you don't need all of them but then I think YES I do :7

So I am thinking about buying more :)... here is what I am thinking about:
CTX Series
Legs & Glutes
Ab Hits
New DVD's ( dummy me didn't order them before on the pre-sale ) LOL.

Here is what I have now:
Intensity Series
BB Series Except L&G & SS
Circuit Max
Cardio Kicks
Rythmic Step
I think this is it.

OK 1 more question, when you purchase more vid's you can get 1 free so is Legs & Glutes or Ab Hits offered for a free one ?

Thanks! :)

I'm pretty close to completing my Cathe collection. I only have 3 more DVD's to go!

So, in a nutshell, I say go for it! I try to work all my Cathe's into a rotation. Sometimes it might be a month or two before I come back around to a particular workout yet I DO come back to them at some point. It's just too much fun having that much variety.

If I would reconsider any DVD purchase it would be Ab hits. The CTX series has all the ab segments together and with DVD it's really easy to just go to the abs chapter of a particular workout. However, the DVD does have some great mixes so it's not a total waste, just not a necessity IMO.

Of the titles you mentioned I personally think CTX is essential. The possibilities with the DVD are endless! Love this DVD!!!

As far as VHS, I think whatever is the least expensive title is the one that you get for free.

Good luck!

I own the following DVD's:

Rhythmic Step / Interval Max (original) / MIC
Power Hour / MIS / Body Max
CTX the entire series
Cardio Kicks / Circuit Max
Ab Hits DVD
The entire Intensity Series including The Terminator
The entire Body Blast Series including Timesaver

I do not use all of them, particularly the strength or muscle endurance DVD's. But I like to have even the non-used ones in reserve in case my goals and practices change. The cardio routines, including premix variations, I use most frequently are as follows:

I-Max The Original
MIC (hi/lo segment)
CTX Power Circuit, and 10-10-10; as well as plank ab work
Circuit Max, with Cardio Kicks drills added on at end
Boot Camp cardio only and cardio/lower-body only premixes
Body Max power circuit segment
Gauntlet from "Terminator"
Rhythmic Step warm-up
Kick Punch Crunch longest circuit premix

I only ordered the advanced new release on the pre-order; I'm not interested in lower-intensity workouts. However, my usual habit is to order the whole taco on the presale. Kind of like a squirrel storing up nuts for the winter.

I own every DVD. I like them all, except Ab Hits because the ab segments are all pre-intensity series, and all the CTX videos have the greatest ab segments that are together in the second DVD (like a mix-match premix). So I think that if you plan on owning all, then Ab Hits might be redundant.

I love every one of them.

Oh, I seldom have used the Terminator or Timesaver, but that may be because I am overwhelmed with all the great original workouts and I haven't had enough years to get to them yet.

RE: Do you own ALL or most of Cathe's w/o's ? And if ...

Hi Laura I own all the ones that are on dvd so the only one that I don't own is the Wedding Video, Mega Step Blast, and Step & Motion. I say half does collect dust but doesn't mean I won't use them. Right now Im using the IS Series, CTX, and BB mostly. But their are some days I will throw in maybe Cardio Kicks, Circuit Max or Imax 1. Once in a while when I feel like doing more basic step I do either something from Classic Volume 1 or Cardio Hits.

Now lets help you spends some money, LOL. I would definitly get the CTX Series. The cardio is so intense but so much fun:)

RE: Do you own ALL or most of Cathe's w/o's ? And if ...

I never owned any of the really old ones like MegaStepBlast and Wedding Video.

I have given StepFit and StepHeat away because I never used them. But I used them many many times before I got tired of them. And StepHeat was too easy. I think StepWorks, PowerMax and Rhythmic Step may go in 6 months or so. But I use everything else, the CTXs, PowerHour, CircuitMax, Imax, SH, PS, BodyBlast (except SS/PP), Intensities (except Cardio and Weights), BodyMax and MIS and MIC. I almost never use MIS anymore, but my daughter loves it, so I keep it for when she's home from college.

I have every single one of them except for Ab Hits-- I just use the ab workouts on the DVD's, so I have been holding out on getting that one. I would highly recommend the CTX series. I have been enjoying the Intensity Series and the Body Blasts A LOT lately and am pretty hooked on the Body Blasts, including the Timesaver DVD! Out of the older workouts I would say that StepFit is my favorite, I also LOVE the Pure Strength workouts-- they are so effective and easy to fit into a tight schedule. But they all hold a special place in my heart and I would NEVER part with any of them!!

Hi Laura, I know some ladies didn't recommend Ab Hits but I would. Only because I have my not-so-good days, and the workouts in Ab Hits fit the bill for those times. I agree that they're not as tough as those in the Intensity Series and after, but if I do three Ab Hits segments in a row, I still feel like I got a good ab workout, and I don't have to keep changing DVD's.:)

There are only three DVD's I don't have -- Terminator, Timesaver and Classics. But I have enough to keep me busy. I didn't preorder the new ones, but I have a feeling I might get the advanced workout eventually.

Definitely get CTX and L&G. Worth every penny.:)

I really only like her cardio and circuit style workouts.
I have:
*Imax,MIC, Rythmic Step
*Imax2, Cardio & Weights
*CK/CM
*Step Blast, SPJ
I also taped Bootcamp off Fit TV. I know it's not the whole workout, but does that count too? I love this one so much I'm sure I will have to break down and buy the DVD, though I don't want ME. I don't care for long strength vids. Her Cardio rocks!

Definetly get L&G You WONT be disapointed.

CTX is great too.

The only ones I don't have (besides the oldies are PS, MIC.

RE: Do you own ALL or most of Cathe's w/o's ? And if ...

Gyggles,

I have all of Cathe's workouts except a couple of the step tapes that are not on DVD. I use all of mine. I don't use some for awhile, but I always come back to them. They are all great and you will definetely get your moneys worth with all of them...

Your before and after pictures are great!!! Good job on the weight loss and meeting your goal.

Keep it up.

Have a great day and workout!! :)

Hey Fab40

I love this one so much I'm

If you get this on the dvd you can use the premixes as the ME is broken down to where you can do upper body only or lower body. Also another one is an ME express workout which is a little bit shorter.

Thanks to everyone's opinions :)

Now I am wondering if I should order the VHS because thats all I own so far of cathe's workouts. I know the DVD's are nice but with having all the VHS so far I don't know what to do. What delima's huh ? LOL.

And another question.... if I do order VHS does CTX series count as 1 tape purchase or 6 tapes ? So I can see if it applies to getting a free one or not. heeheee.

Also the new DVD's - I am wondering about the 30 minute beginner step tape ? I guess I could always just add something into it for that day or do it on a "light day".

Thanks again :)

The CTX series count as 1 video. If I were you I would go with the dvd just because you can mix & match and the picture quality is so much better. The sound is awsome.

Hey Laura!

I don't fit your profile of having them all but L&G is just amazing. I had been doing Pyramids since Xmas and then added L&G a few weeks ago and I can tell a huge difference in my legs already. My hips actually look narrower from the front (and I have some big hips! ).

Also, you can still pre-order the new DVDs at a discount, I just did. ;)

Laura

:)

I own everyone of her workouts and even though I don't do them exclusively, I do love all of them.

RE: Do you own ALL or most of Cathe's w/o's ? And if ...

Oh Laura,

I just sigh when I read your post - I remember how I felt when I found Cathe...It was inevitable that I would eventually have all of her workouts! (Except Step 'n Motion and those that are no longer made due to how dated the material is, like Rock Bottoms.) I feel for you, because there is so much to pick from now! I started using Cathe's Wedding Video in 1997 and that was when I got hooked! I got all the "older" workouts on VHS, but started buying DVD's with the Slow and Heavy presale. Since then, I've gone all DVD (slowly converting the VHS that I had to DVD.) For that reason, I would suggest any new purchases you make to be DVD. You know a VHS can be worn out with time, but the DVD won't. And as has been mentioned, the quality of these are so great, not to mention the bonus material that really makes it seem that you got several different workouts in one package! Hope this help,

I just had to chuckle, because we've all been where you are - you want them all but have to pick and choose! Good luck and happy shopping!!
