When I am home I eat well MOST of the time but when I am out, that is when I usually "indulge". For example, I go to my mom's and my MIL's each once a week for a visit which includes dinner. They do not eat the kind of things I eat so for me, eating their cooking is considered an indulgence. I try not to over-eat when I am there. I avoid desserts at home but again, when I am out I tend to go for it if it is offered but again, I try not to over-do it. I find I can eat a few "naughty" meals/treats each week and still maintain my weight but different things work for different people. For some it is easier to maintain and for others, harder. You have to find the right balance for yourself. If I go over-board and eat too much of a "GOOD" thing then I feel sick and guilty but I use that feeling as encouragement to eat healthy and work out harder the next day!
