Do you have Yoga Shakti or Fluid Power by Shiva Rea?

I love Yoga Shakti. It has 4 sets of yoga workouts and then you can matrix and make your own set if you like. Definitely worth getting.

Yes, it is fantastic! You won't be sorry about this DVD.

Hi,

I have both and I love them both, but prefer Fluid Power. That being said, I think even the easier flows on Fluid Power are harder and it is much more innovative than Shakti. Shakti is more traditional and the matrix is just wonderful (Fluid Power has the matrix too). I'd get Shakti first, and if you enjoy her style, then get Fluid Power. I usually do yoga 4-6 days per week. I personally get the best results from using Shiva's dvds.

RE: Do you have Yoga Shakti or Fluid Power by Shiva Rea...

I love Shatki! It's probably my favorite yoga workout. The matrix is key. It's such a wonderful tool. I recently acquired Fluid Power but there's more of a learning curve to it because it's free form, and for me that's stepping out of my rigid practice of traditional yoga. I have to be in the right mood to do it, and some days I just don't feel up to letting myself go. Then again, on other days I feel rather creative and sensual and Fluid Power is perfect. I guess it all depends on that time of the month!

Gee Tracy, we must be connected! We both had the same number of posts when we posted on this question! What are the chances of that happening?

Hey,

How coincidental! I never would have guessed that I've posted that many times, but I do participate in a check in, so I guess that's upped my number of posts.

Yes, Fluid Power does have a learning curve, and you have to think out of the box, but it is sooooo worth it. It works the core, the legs, the upper body, and as a bonus you increase your flexibility. I love that it is not static, although there is benefit to static stretching, so I try to do a combination of both.

Happy posting,

Tracy

I guess that's one of the reasons why I like it. I can't stand being still for too long, and with most yoga workouts you have to hold the pose for a series of breaths. That can be very difficult for a person like me who constantly fidgets. However, I also find that I don't feel as stretched or "worked out" with Kundalini yoga as I do with Hatha or power yoga. So, as you mentioned, it's good to do a combination of both.

I have Fluid Power and it's soooooo awesome - very unique compared to a lot of other Yoga videos out there. I love the flows, and the scenery is spectacular. I definitely recommend it. :)

I have both and I love them both. Shiva is great. I love how she builds up to the poses, she has great form, the scenery is beautiful and the matrix is great for making your own practices. I use them quite often. If you have any dance experience, I think you really might like Fluid Power. She allows for some creative expression. I highly recommend them.
