Do you get insomnia and too much energy from working out?

This happens to me alot, I mean sometimes I can be up for 2 straight days and I fell fine after working out. I just lay there in bed awake and along as my eyes are closed I will feel rested...Is this a common occurrence? ...Or I'm I just manic.

Totally! I have to be careful how late I work out, otherwise sleep will not be happening without the use of drugs. I bounce off the walls after working out, so it's an issue.

in 2 words.... heck no!:p

i chase after 3 kids and the dog all day. im usually awake by 430 or 5, i get to bed around 11. i sometimes have to wake up in the night to nurse the baby. so.... when i go to bed..... i am OUT!:D

No. Although some people think I do. I wake up between 2-2:30am to workout after that is none stop with 5 boy's who constantly have to be somewhere. I try to go to bed no later than 9:30 once I lay on my bed I'm out, my 4 year old will wake up in the middle of night for a glass of water.

That happens to me when I overtrain - even one very intense exercise session will do it for me. It also speeds up my resting pulse rate and kills my appetite for about 24 hours. It doesn't feel super-healthy to me so I try to do more moderate workouts.

Hi -

I get like this when I'm being really strict on my diet... I will get only 5 hours of sleep and just can't seem to sleep for any longer. I can't say I wake up hungry, I just wake up! :(

Then, if I have a really bad eating day w/ lots of junk ( ie think high fat high carb) I'll sleep like a baby.

Do you think diet is coming into play for you as well?

Nope, for me, it's just the opposite. I've been doing Chalean Extreme, and on the days I do weight training especially, I sleep like a baby. And I've been suffering from insomnia for a few months now. CLX is my cure!!!

Yes, it does seem like when I eat healthy(meaning all organic without everything else and including my highly dynamic greens shake(only available through prescription...the good stuff!) that I also feel this way when not working out....It feels like I am completely rested after only 3 hours of sleep...Has my body become highly efficient or does this reflect that human sleep cycles are only about 4 hours total....If anything, I always feel great, even when I only nap for 20 minutes...Sometimes this can feel annoying because I don't know if this is good for my body or just plain harmful.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing when my carb intake is low.

Sleep what is that?! Every once in a blue moon I can sleep w/o wakin' up at 4:00 or so. I have noticed though the later I stay the better sleep I have. I usually do cardio in the afternoon, so I can sleep better. I can weight train in the morning with no problem.
