Do we have to have rest week?

O.K. I am on week 4 Meso 1. I'm totally bummed next week is a rest week. I don't want to!! I want to start right on Meso2. Is anyone not doing the rest week? What are the disadvantages of not resting versus taking the rest week. Will my results be any different? I hate cardio. I could just do weight work everyday and be so happy! The thought of just doing cardio next week is throwing me into a funk. Thanks for the input.
 
Maybe you could do some weight circuits with light weight. I recommend the rest week because Meso 2 is a whole different type of intensity and I think your joints need the rest. Also, your heart is a muscle, and needs the work, so even though you hate cardio, you should try to do some anyway.
 
I do cardio, just hate it. I know you're right .My body needs the rest. I just needed to see it in black and white. Thank you
