Do I need Circuit Max and Cardio Kicks?

This is one of two Cathe workouts I don't have. I going through my love affair with kickboxing workouts right now. Is Cardio Kicks in any way similar to KPC? The kickboxing from CTX isn't my favorite, so if Cardio Kicks is similar to that, I'll pass.

I haven recently started to like circuit workouts. I like the newer ones, but I mainly use them for the cardio.

Any thoughts?

I really like Cardio Kicks. It is somewhat similar to KPC but with a little bit of hi/lo in it. This one really keeps my heartrate up and it has a great block section at the end and comes in at 60 mins. I don't have CTX kickbox so I can't comment on similarity.

Circuit Max is a good circuit workout, choreography moderate and pretty easy to pick up and uses compound weight exercises. I pretty much used 8# throughout for all the exercises.

Cardio Kicks doesn't have anything similar to the leg conditioning drills at the end of Kick Max, does it? I hate those!

Marcy, you said that it has some hi/lo. Does it have a lot? Not a fan of that either.

No, it doesn't have any leg conditioning drills. I know, they're killer!

Cardio Kicks does have some hi/lo, but not a lot. It's mostly kickboxing combos and drills, jumping jacks, jump ropes, speedbag arms with kicks.

If you don't like CTX kickbox, I'd pass on Cardio Kicks. The music and workout style are similar and Cathe was just learning kickboxing at that point so her form is not as good as it is in KPC & Kickmax. IIRC, it's a lot of hi lo'ish sashays. I hope Cathe makes KPC 2 soon.

I agree totally with Jonahnah. Cardio Kicks is a kickbox flavoured hi-lo workout. It is a point in a line of progression for Cathe in her development as a kickbox instructor. The best section of it is the last one which focuses on punching drills. But if you are not a fan of hi lo, then this is not the workout for you. Stick with KPC, Drill Max and kickbox workouts from other instructors. Amy Bento has a new, drills and combos focussed workouts coming out soon called Rumble. She is filming it this weekend.
