Hi Cathe,
I've been toying with the idea of setting a goal to do an ironman by before I'm 40 (I'm 24
). I plan to do a sprint distance this summer (450 meter swim, 13 mile bike, 5 k run) and was wondering if you had any thoughts on including your workouts in my training regimen (I think I'd miss you too much if I couldn't). The training plan is much easier than your workouts are, and they are generally oriented toward cardio rather than strength. Strength training has it's place, but would you have any suggestions on how to incorporate your videos when my schedule is basically as follows:
M - swim (40 minutes) & run (30 minutes)
T - rest
W - bike (60 minutes)
Th - swim (45 minutes) & run (35 minutes)
Fri - bike (30 min)
Sat run (50 min)
Sun - bike (1-2 hrs)
I basically have 2 hours available for training. I work out in the morning and either over my lunch hour or when I get home from work. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm so happy to hear your recovery is going well. I've always found that these types of setbacks bring on a greater appreciation for fitness activities once you recover. I can already hear the excitement in your tone of your emails. Woo Hoo!
Best wishes!
Heather
