disk #16 ???

the bench press uses barbells. what weight should i use since i will b using dumbells? for bench press i use 17.5 for 12 reps. on my workout card it says :
incline bench press 13 12 reps
incline bench press 13 12 reps
incline bench press 19 12 reps
incline bench press 19 10 reps
incline bench press 19 8 reps
incline bench press 11 TF

If you calculated your 1RM for bench press with a BB, and now you want to switch to DB's, then the weight on your card should be the total for both DB's (so they total the amount on your BB). So on your card, the first 2 sets at 13 pounds (those are warm-up sets so they are supposed to be on the lighter side) for a BB would translate to 6.5#'s for each DB. When you go up to 19#, again if that originated from a BB number, just cut it in half, so use 9.5#'s. You might need to play around a little with the weights, since the DB's require even strength for both arms. So those weights might be a tad heavier than you are comfortable with. Good luck!

i just realized that those #'s r not accurate. i probably did not notice that i was putting in 1rm for incline bench press with barbell which i am not using.in disk #16 i will start with 17.5 then 20#
