Disc 14 caused doms in Upper Back????

Weird . . . Disc 14 is the first leg workout of Meso 2. I did it yesterday (Saturday) morning and today I have DOMS in my legs (expected) but also in my upper back. I think I'm more sore in my upper back after this workout then I have been with any back workout. It's not my neck, it's the whole upper back. Can anyone help me understand why this happened? I'm not complaining, it's just weird.
 
Funny you said this, I did 14 yesterday, and when I got out of bed, I noted my upper back is sore too. Needless to say, I have some SERIOUS leg doms, but my guess is the very heavy weights in combination with a couple of the exercises like maybe the side paper plate lunges and more likely the plie squats too. Must have been the motion to pick up (or really pull up) the weight in the plie squats.
 
Yup - me, too. It's from holding the weights. You're probably holding heavier weights than you have for other workouts, so your trapezius are getting a good workout to hold the weights and maintain your good posture. bonus!
 
Oh good, glad it's not just me. Yes, I did use heavier than usual weights for most of the exercises. Today I did Back and Bi's (disc 15) and the back part didn't seem like much of a workout . . . but maybe I'll feel differently when I wake up tomorrow.
 
I'm doing that one tonight and I was just looking at the workout card, because I'm tired. I'm not too worried because it didn't look bad at all. I'll have to be sure to up my weights, but it looks like it will be short and sweet.
 
I really liked it. It did seem short and sweet. I was sweating big time by the end. It's got a different feel than the first mesocycle, but still effective. Let me know if you end up with back DOMS.
 
I am glad it was only DOMS for you, after I did it, my back was hurting so bad that I couldn't workout for the rest of the week nor could I go to work the next day.

So, I loved it! No DOMS today, although when I do get them, they tend to be the second day anyway. I do feel it a bit in my biceps, but my back is fine.
