Digital Photo Processing

I'm wondering what your thoughts are on digital photo processing.

What do YOU do to have your digital pics printed and why?

Do you take your little memory card to stores/machines like WalMart, CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreen's, etc and order them there? They aren't send-out like the old times; they're actually printed right there on their machines and are available in an hour.

Do you order online thru places like snapfish, winkflash, etc and have them printed and mailed to you?

Do you print at home? I don't want to start this up, so I'm secretly hoping you'll all tell me this is the LEAST effective way! ;)

I'm not concerned, so much with the COST, rather the QUALITY! Does one processing method have better quality of ink or lasting value in a scrapbook? Or are they pretty much all the same?

Hi Gayle,

I upload all my pics to KodakGallery.com. I order from them and get great quality pictures. They also store all your photos so in case you ever have computer meltdown like I have had, your pics are not lost. You can also send your pics to your friends to view and order if they want to. It's a nice service.

I do print at home too. But not in bulk. It's so time consuming. And the cost of ink can be big if you are printing the amount of pictures I take!!!!!

I'll send you pics from our last get together so you can see the site!!!

Funny you should ask this. I keep forgetting to take my memory card to get my pics printed when I go to Walmart so this weekend I just logged onto Walmart's photoshop website and uploaded my pics and drove to the store a couple hours later and they were all ready for me. Can't get much better than that:D

I have done this as well. Many stores now have the option of uploading pics via their site and picking them up in the store later in the day (or in a couple days). I do this once a year or so. I don't want to lose memories if my computer crashes!
