Difference between the S&H videos from PLB & PUB

I have seen rotations using S&H but I've only got PLB & PUB.

Is it really necessary for S&H or can I just keep subbing them with PLB & PUB.

If there is a considerable amount of difference between them I may consider getting the S&H dvd; but money is an issue esp. with the cold weather (clothes for kids) and the holidays coming soon; so I'd really like to know if I should get S&H or just continue on with the pyramids.

Considerable differences. Pyramids take little to no rest between sets. S&H takes one minute breaks between each set. Pyramids are supersets of 12-10-8-10-12 reps per body part (for upper). S&H is generally 3 sets of 8 reps (sometimes there are only 2 sets). Because of the the slower movement and the rests, you are able to go much heavier in Slow and Heavy, this is another difference. I try to go heavy in PUB, but I am usually so fatigued by the end of the pyramid, that I am not able to use my heaviest selection for the 8 rep (the heaviest) cycle of the pyramid. I personally love Slow and Heavy as it yields great results and is different from anything else Cathe has done. Hope this helped!

Yes it has! Thank's so much.

This was what I was looking for. Now with that knowledge I'll be able to make a good decision about the S&H series. :)

Although PLB and PUB are a faster pace than S&H with less rest time, I like to do the pyramid up only option (on the DVDs) and I usually pause the DVD between exercises. This makes them a little more like S&H, which has given me great results.
