Go for a nice well all up hill walk where i live . I make it to the top of the plan .
When i leave , it is nice, hot and sunny.
Then i get about 3 miles from home and it starts pouring down rain.
I am trying to get outside more for cardio in the summer, but i really hate being poured on when i don't have a hat on and i usually take my cell in case something happens, like i get bit by a dog or bear or snake or you know.
Living in the woods is so much fun. Who needs camping.

Anyways, i woke up stuffed up...
Time for no time for colds...
AARGH, BUMMER.

Oh yea, the other day I was out skating and it started to drizzle. Thinking that would be it, I continued...mistake :-( By the time I was home I was sopped as were my skates. Had to fill them with crinkled newspapaer, something I hadn't done for wet shoes since I was a kid!!!

Anne,

I know what your talking about. Last time I ran, it poured on me. When I got there to start running, the sun was out and then the clouds rolled in and bam...RAIN! I ran though even though my eyes were water logged. At times, I had to close my eyes. I have to say, I had alot of fun and then I got to splash thru the puddles like a big kid. If I have to run again, I wouldn't let the rain bother me...have fun with it! And yeah, we have some snakes here too and been told a few panthers too to help kill off the coyotes (this is what I have been told by the older folks that have lived here all their life). Anyhow, I always have to have my face downward looking at the ground when I run this time of the year...same thing goes for when I just walk around in the yard. I won't go up the mountain by myself for fear of two leg creatures and the four legged kind (wild men renting a house up there)

Bottom line, if you feel well, then just do it! Listen to your body, and if the weather is too hot then think about going on a treadmill either in your home or at the gym where it is air conditioned or maybe run earlier or late in the evening.

That happened to me last week on my run. Not so much as you, though. I just got sprinkled on. We are so dry here that I would have loved to get soaked in a downpour!!! Even if I was out running!

That's happened to me while out rollerblading, was no fun because it made the road slick, I was totally soaked by the time I got home.
