Did this happen to anyone else?

So, anyone else here start replacing Cathe VHS with the DVDs and then struggle with selling the VHS's cuz you feel you just can't part with them? Why, I don't know! I have some I'm thinking of putting on ebay...but having to push myself. Thinking I may need the tape just in case....the DVD breaks?? I don't know why! :) :)

Anyone else go through this? :) :)

I certainly did go through the process of replacing the vids with the DVDs; however, the extent of that was that I didn't offload the vids until I had the DVDs in hand and had previewed my faves to make sure there were no glitches. After I did that it was Sayonara Videos; I didn't bother selling them (IMHO that's more trouble than it's worth with vids; in fact I never sell my used belongings) but instead gave them to a co-worker.

What I HAVE toyed with (don't call the psych unit on me) is getting duplicate DVDs of my absolute must-haves as back-ups should my original DVDs get lost, stolen or broken. I did a little count a few months ago to determine which ones I'd want back-ups for and how much it would cost . . . oh, say, OVER FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!!

i need to win the lottery . . .

I can't bring myself to part with my VHS even though I've had the DVD's for about a year now. I've loaned them out to friends but don't think I'll ever part with them. I still use the VHS once in a while to mishmosh with DVDs, especially the Cardio Kicks/Circuit Max workouts 'cause the DVD chaptering is no where near as well done as her later releases. I like them for a back up if my DVD player goes...I know I should let some of them go but.....not yet;)

No, no trouble at all! I am not a hoarder and not sentimental, I refer a zen appproach to my house, although thwarted by my messy family. I sold as many as I could and still have a few that anyone can have if they want them, I don't. I want the space that they are occcupying on my shelves to place the new DVDs in! Just get rid of them! Streamline, clarify, reduce, those are my buzz words!

I have been toying with the idea of getting a DVD recorder so that I can let go of all of my VHS. Anyone doing or have done this?

I just got my niece the Cathe Step set at Walmart for her birthday. She will be 16 and I thought she could use a break from running on the treadmill.

Anyway, my DH suggested that I give her some of the tapes I don't use...I just couldn't give them away. I would be more than happy to share/borrow but not give them until I know that I have copies somewhere.

Silly, I know!
