Did MIS for the first time today

I got this video about a month ago, but have been a little afraid to try it because it being an advanced video (I'm an intermediate exerciser). However, with modifying the weight amounts down, I found this to be a very doable, yet challenging workout. I LOVE how thorough it is and Cathe's constant form pointers. So glad I finally tried it! :D

That's great! MIS is a workout that you can "grow" with. I started out using lighter weights than Cathe and worked up to her weights. I made some pretty good strength gains with it. Yes, the form pointers there are wonderful. I never felt like I was doing it all wrong because of all those form pointers.

Every time I got back and do MIS I realize how much I like it. I can't decide between MIS and MM for my last workout before we leave out of town tomorrow.

I had to go out of town to stay with my mom for a few weeks. She doesn't have and real weights (only 3 and 5 pounds), but she does have a local gym that I could use via my passport program for $10. I went through MIS and copied down the workouts and used them in the gym. I had several people stop and ask me who my personal trainer was as they wanted to do the same routine. I, of course, pointed them to Cathe. It's a fabulous workout.

MIS was my first Cathe workout, a long time ago...and I still love it, too! I remember wondering if I'd be able to do it; I agree that it's one you can grow with.

MIS is a tough (in a good way) total body workout for me and I don't use as heavy of a weight as Cathe! I agree, it's pretty thorough---the only "complaints" I might have is that it does not include any calf work (wouldn't be an issue for those who have nice muscular calves naturally), none of the chest work was on an incline position and that some of the leg work moved a little fast for me. MIS does kick butt, though! I bought MIS on the DVD that includes "Power Hour" and "Body Max" and I alternate it (among Cathe's other and newer total body strength training) with "Power Hour" as a rotation for total body workout. Cathe is the best when it comes to form pointers and cueing.
