Did i-train raise their prices?

I was looking into getting another i-tread and thought they looked more expensive than last time. 12 dollars for thirty minutes? sheesh!

Yup they raised 'em. Everything is more expensive but if you really like them, get the yearly plan and that drops the average work out price to just over $4.00 which still isn't bad IMO. :)

I'm with Allison, I have enough of the workouts now to keep me "itraining" for quite some time!

YIKES is right! I was perusing the iClimb workouts and I about fell over when I saw the new prices. That's an awfully big increase all at once!

Personally, I think there is a big difference in the quality of cardio coach vs. itrain but alas, I don't use either very much.

>Heck, Cardio Coach workouts are well over $20 for 1/2 hour
>and hour workouts. I still think iTread is a good deal.

They're only over $20 if you purchase both the MP3 and CD. Their downloadable workouts are usually $14.99 or so, which is why I only have 2 CC workouts--I think they're way too pricey. I don't understand how you can charge so much for an MP3 workout! They're not paying for art work for a dvd cover and case, they have no shipping costs, etc. I have do all the work!

Oh well. For some, it may still be worth the price no matter how high iTrain decides to go. I just can't afford them.

ETA: I think my biggest problem is that it was such a drastic price increase and came with no warning. They basically doubled their prices overnight.

I've been a subscriber for a year and a half. I have a lrage enough collection for now, but when I want something fresh, I think I will subscribe again. I still think they are a good buy, but yes I miss the old prices. :)

I can understand a price increase with everything going up nowadays, but theirs was a little drastic! I got my free download for doing the survey and that will be the last one for now.. I have enough of a variety of them to last for a long time.

I frankly don't understand it since they don't have any of the costs associated with packaging and shipping. It seems everyone is raising the cost of everything yet I wonder how many of us are getting raises that allow us to keep pace. I wonder if iTrain will see a decrease in their customer base. I know I won't be buying from them, or Coach Sean, anytime soon.

>wendy- they raised the yearly membership alsox(

The new yearly price is what I based my calculations on girl! It's really not a bad deal IMO unless ofcourse, you have no interest in getting 3 downloads per month then it's no bargain.

I personally *heart* my Itreads very much and although I have plenty already, something tells me I'll re-up when my yearly membership expires in June...}(

Debbie, I've never paid $20 for a Cardio Coach workout.

Cardio Coach prices are as follows:
MP3 Download - $14.95
CD-R - $16.95
CD-R and MP3 - $18.95

And I agree with Beavs that there's a big difference in quality. Still, I like the iClimbs and I would like to have a few more, but I'm not sure they're worth it.

ETA that on the face of it Cardio Coach downloads seem expensive, but when you consider the music, which is especially written and produced for CC workouts, then I think the price seems fair.

I confess to having a few different email addresses to take advantage of the freebies. Bargain Beavs strikes again! :7

And if you take advantage of the sales Coach Sean offers, you can get even better. I took advantage of the New Year's Special and ended up paying $47 for 9 workouts. Just about $5.22 per workout.

He's also been running the 3 fer 2 special for quite awhile. If you do mp3 download, that's $10/workout.

I love that Coach Sean's workouts are based on how I feel or how my HR is doing (depending on how I choose to follow the levels he gives). I also like the fact that all his workouts are chaptered nicely for easy mix and match and easy to skip or repeat parts of the workout.

I do like the iTrain idea, just haven't found an iTrain I like yet. I have 5 credits left and have a list of exactly 5 iTreads that I want to try. If they ever go to a HR-level based system at iTrain, I might be tempted again, but not really now.

Think I'll go running with Coach Sean when I get home. ;)

I was just looking and Cardio Coach is having a huge spring clearance sale -- 6 CD's and 1 MP3 for 39.95! That's a great price!
