Did anyone watch "The Biggest Loser" last night?

The Biggest Loser...what a great show! Motivates me everytime I watch it. I hope that show will get more people off the couch and get on a treadmill while they are watching the show. All of the participants are amazing people who started out so heavy which had to be brutally hard to begin with...lugging all that weight around thru workouts, etc. They are all amazing and I hope more people will be encouraged by the show.

RE: Did anyone watch

I did -- I was amazed at how thin everyone became! Frankly, I was upset when I first started watching the show. I couldn't imagine how they expected such overweight people to workout 3 hours a day and eat so few calories. I'm very surprised that there were not more injuries and/or drop-outs. I do give them all the credit -- I hope they can maintain their "new" bodies in the real world.

RE: Did anyone watch

I watched it too. Amazing transformations. Mo looks great!

I too was shocked at the 3 hour a day workouts. I don't see how anyone can keep that up like that. Who knows! But I loved the show!

RE: Did anyone watch

Of course I was planted in front of it - I saw every episode. They make is pretty easy because they repeat it on USA.

Ryan looked so darned cute!!!! I can't believe how much weight he lost in the end - really a great job. Loved his new outfit.
Kelly looked wonderful - talk about an inner and outer glow!
Gary is the bomb - he really seems like a nice guy and such a nice, supportive family. He looked so handsome and his wife is just madly in love with him after a million years together.

The rest of the cast looked great as well - can't wait for next week's final, final, final episode!

I never heard that diet soda or caffeine for that matter can cause you to gain weight? How is that? Would be interested to know.

RE: Did anyone watch

Ryan was on Live with regis and Kelly today and I couldn't beleive that they worked out 3 hours a day.Maybe Lisa wasn't as whinny after all! I would be cranky to if I had to workout that long.
He said that it took him 5 monthes to lose 122 lbs.I can't beleive that he lost equivalent to a person.

RE: Did anyone watch

Darn darn darn I missed Ryan on Reg & Kelly! :( I really liked this show. It was the first reality show I've ever watched more than 60 seconds of. I can't wait til next week to see who wins the $100,000!

RE: Did anyone watch

I watched it, too. I really wanted Gary to win! Don't ask me why! Guess it is 'cause he seemed like such a nice guy. But I really liked the other guys too! They all did great and have a lot to be proud of! They worked sooo hard!

Does anyone think Kelli looks like Demi Moore? For some reason, everytime I see her I think that!

Wonder how Mo is doing? I just loved him, too! Can't wait to see them all next week! GUess I kind of got "attached" to the people on the show!

RE: Did anyone watch

Hubby and I enjoyed the show a lot. I thought it was very motivational and was happy to see them all progress in leaps & bounds. I also was hoping Gary would win just because of his attitude and also his love of his family that supported him so well. I wish I had known that he was going to be on K&R this morning. :-( I am looking forward to next week's show to see all the other contestants. It looked like Mo lost more weight. I wish them ALL continued success as they enter the world of fitness on their own.

RE: Did anyone watch

Yes I always watch, but I wanted Gary to win.... oh well... they all still looked great.
I also think that people get to obsessed with calories, thinking someone is eating to little calories, I say what ever works for them, as long as they don't go hungry and are healthy there shouldn't be a problem.....
I know on some other shows they have them drop to 1200 calories and workout 2 to 3 hrs a day, and they don't dry up and go to waste....
I just think that alot of people could probably get by on less calories than they think........ Rhonda

RE: Did anyone watch

I'm not a huge fan of "reality tv" shows (there are too many, IMHO) but I applaud programs like The Biggest Loser (and Nanny 911) because of the information they provide. I can't remember the name of it, but this past weekend there was a show (OBESITY OLYMPICS?) where the Hamm brothers (Olympic gymnasts) each had a family to coach through diet and workouts. It was great because it involved entire families and as we all know, overweight, underconditioned children become overweight, unhealthy adults. I was moved to tears by the achievements of both families and all the participants on The Biggest Loser. Congratulations to all! And may they all continue with their new, healthy lifestyles!

RE: Did anyone watch

I was able to watch the entire show last night. All three finalists looked wonderful. In a way I was cheering for all of them but leaning more towards Gary, he just seems to be a big sweetheart. I think Kelly does look like Demi and I hope she continues her new healthy lifestyle, I hope all the contestants do. I wanted to see Ryan on Live w/R&K but I missed it. I wonder when TBL2 will start?

RE: Did anyone watch

That show really has been a great influence. There is already a 'big fat loser' contest going on in my company. I applaud and try to support and help motivate everyone who is participating!

RE: Did anyone watch

I think Kelly also looks like Courtney Cox. She's a very beautiful lady.

Last night was the first time that I watched this show. I wish I would have seen it from the beginning. They were all winners in my book, and the final numbers were so darn close. I really think they should have won a prize.

RE: Did anyone watch

I watched most of it (I only caught a few minutes of a previous show). I do wonder if the show will motivate people ("Wow, look how much they lost and how great they look!" or demotivate them "Damn, if I have to work out 3 hours a day to lose weight, forget it!"). I know *I* wouldn't have the time, inclination or motivation to work out 3 hours a day!
