Did anyone START with cathe?

Yes, this exercise "phase" of my life:)--which I think is now a lifestyle, not a phase. Before I discovered Cathe (by a link from a homeschool message board to video fitness), I had not exercised regularly in about 5 years.

I was very overweight and out of shape and had to modify, modify, modify, but she's seen me through babies #5 and #6 and back to a size 6-8. I'm also much, much stronger and don't have to modify much at all.

Life without Cathe would be very bleak indeed:p .

Maggie, 6 kids? You are my new inspiration!!! I would love 20 kids, but will settle for 6. I had c-sections so that might not happen for me. If you can be a 6-8 after 6 children, I know i'm not doomed. Thank you so much for sharing. I would love to hear your story if you have time.

Hi Maggie,

It's nice to meet another homeschooling mother of 6! I didn't hear about Cathe through any of the homeschooling message boards. I have heard about the PX90 though. I'm not ready for that since I just started Cathe in the beginning of January after a 10 break from exercising.

I started back in the 80's with Charlene Prickett (I was in Middle School). My mom and I would set up our steps in our family room and step away! When I was in college, we had some great step classes offered through the PE department, so I did that along with some running and weight training on the machines. After college, I mainly ran for a couple of years . Then after the birth of my 1st baby, in 1993, I found Cathe:) I still kept my gym membership for variety, but in the last 5 years, Cathe has so much out there that I don't get bored at all! We do have a home gym with an elliptical, recumbant bike and rowing machine for cross training. And I do still run sometimes and have done a few P90X rotations, but for me, Cathe is the best and I find myself wanting to still do her work outs the most!
