Hi Cathe and everyone,

Urgggghhhhhhhhhh.............I can't take it anymore!!! In the last 9 months, I have gained weight. The problem is that when I gain........I tend to just get it all over with an emphasis on the lower body of course. But my arms and shoulder/collerbone area used to be soooooo skinny and now they look AWFUL and are fat up top. Now I don't mean just untoned.....I mean fat!!! I feel so self concious now I won't even wear a tank top. I'm not very much overweight....138 but it makes me feel terrible.

What is THE best and fastest way to thin them out?? I know you cannot spot reduce by any means.........but to really whip them into shape, I don't know if I should be concentrating on doing extra weights for arms -- or doing more cardio. And what rotation or tape would be the best for this??

PLEASE HELP!!! I really am going to cry!!

Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah!

Have you seen the "Tank Top Rotation"? I am runing very late here or I would post it for you. Just do a search in the "Open Discussion Forum" for "Tank Top Arms" in the past 3 months and I'm sure it will come up. I did it for three weeks and saw some results as far as my arms looking leaner and definitely more toned. Of course, cardio is very important for burning fat, plus TRY to eat as clean as possible. (my struggle!) Good Luck and keep us posted!

Take a look at the "Tank Top Arms" thread in the "Video Questions and Comments" forum -- maybe this could help you. Also, make sure your diet is clean (no refined sugars, not too high in fat, lots of fruit and vegetables, grains, appropriate amount of protein) and you're drinking lots of water. Diet is 75% of your results! Good luck.

Cardio is a must along with whatever weight training rotation you chose. My arms were the last body part to respond in my weight/fat loss journey, and I've found that genetically I am predisposed to storing fat in my upper arms, so with increased cardio (longer sessions 45-60 min) 5x/week, plus reducing my daily fat intake, I've been able to slowly but surely reduce the fat in my arms and see some definition developing, but fat has to be burned off :), so cardio, cardio, cardio and the tank top arms rotation is excellent for developing the entire upper body area.

Besides cardio, weight training and diet, it is very important to drink lots of water. Some people tend to accumulate water in the back of the arms (like me) and drinking water helps flush water.

Thank you everybody for then info. and encouragement!!! I am so ready to get my arms into shape and have them looking cut once again!!
