December 2010 Rotation, Week of 01/03/11

Hello!

New thread for the week! Once everyone finishes the December rotation we can pick a new check in name. :)

So I started STS last night w/Disc 1 and abs from High Reps.

This morning I did Athletic Step + 3 ab segments from the BBC series. OUCH! :eek: Hurts so good! ;)

anywho,checking in with Hiit pyramid. I noticed my endurance is better from doing Intensity.

I wanted to start january's rotation already:D Im in for a new name for our check in.
 
Good Morning.

I did Kimberly Spreen's Absolute Kickbox: Combat Intervals only w/a 9# boby bar and then moved onto HiiT 30/30 excluding the warm up. :eek: My obliques are sooooo sore today! This made this morning's w/o much more challenging!:eek:

tuesdays

today I did core max( I don't have sts abs) and did a 40 minute run. Hubby was very impressed with how good I did,considering its been months since I ran. I give all the credit to Cathe.

I couldn't find you guys! Here you are! I have one more day of the Dec. rotation to finish. MMA Kickbox was a nice reprieve from Intensity!
I plan to do a modified January rotation next. I don't want to set myself up to fail and two workouts in one day are a time challenge for me.

I have cardio on tap. Not sure what I'll do yet. Gonna let inspiration decide when I get in there in a bit....:)

Kickbox Boot Camp (Kimberly Spreen)...DONE! A little bit o' everything all rolled into one nice neat 60 minute work out! :D

yay! today I got my workout in:D I did push/pull sub for sts total body.
I like this workout short but to the point.:D

Trying to decide between Disc 3 legs and a cardio for this morning. Whatever I don't do today is on tap for tomorrow. I guess I'll decide when I get in there in a few....

Terina, Push Pull is an oldie but a goodie! Great job!

OK! Wendy called me on it....I forgot all about ya's! :D Not really, but sorta. I finished the Dec rotation and have been using this week for a bit of fun and new stuff. I've gotten to the Y to swim laps twice, and am planning on going this afternoon.....my goal is 3x per week. I'm NOT a swimmer, as I've said before, but I'm pretending.

So....I wonder if I Can remember what I did this week for workouts:
Sun: 6+ miles with my running group
Mon: (AM) GS Chest/Tris (PM)1/4 mile swim at Y
Tue: (AM) Athletic Step (PM) stadium stairs workout with running group (at local college football stadium...KILLER)
Wed: (AM) GS Legs (PM) 1/3 mile swim at Y
Thu: (AM) iTread 3, 40 mins, 4.3+ miles and Core Max 2 (PM) GS Back/Sh/Bis
Fri: (AM) LIC Cardio Premix (my FAVE) (PM planned) at least 1/3 mile swim at Y
Sat: AM planned long run with running group, 7-8 miles PM planned push ups, pull ups, Leg Conditioning Drills from LBB and Kick Max
Sun: REST, BABY


I've added the rest of the week's planned workout.....every ounce of accountability is needed, ya know! :)

So......sorry I ditched you this week. I'll try to post here often throughout the week. I joined the Workout Warriors check in.....these are the first 2 check ins on Cathe's forums that I've done in a LONG while. So I don't mind the friendly reminder if I go MIA...THANKS, WENDY! I stayed away from posting for a little while when things go kind of crazy and mean around here, but this is my little effort at bringing some POSITIVE back to this place!

RAMBLING...sorry! Our school has a 2 hour delay this morning so it's quiet in da house. We've got a quiet Friday....DS' basketball practice was cancelled cuz they're using their gym for something tonight.
 
I'm back.

I decided to do STS disc 3 legs today so that I can work out some of the impending DOMS with cardio tomorrow before my rest day on Sunday!

Yep, I decided to give Gayle a little "nudge" on FB this morning to see if she was planning on coming back to us or not! Welcome back, Gayle!:D
I must say it's no wonder you haven't been checking you! You are pushing out some killer work outs! You've been quite busy this past week! :eek:

Terina, I love Push/Pull and it's tough enough!

I finished Dec. yesterday with High Reps. My HReps wasn't as tough as I had done earlier in the rotation. I've been having trouble getting a good nights sleep this past week so rather than cop out I pulled back on the poundage to about 65% 1rep max but did with entire workout.

Today I am going to have a rest day and start Jan. tomorrow. Have a great day y'all.
 
Coco:: Congrats on finishing Dec's rotation and moving right into Jan huh? Awesome! ;) No worries about the lighter weights for HR...it happens to everyone. Even to Cathe! :D

quick check in with Intensity premix #8(dbl Hiit and bootcamp) ah my lungs were gasping for air,but I feel great. hubby took grandbaby so I could workout. so I need to keep this short b4 they come back.

Gayle,glad to have you back! those are some killer workouts.

Ladies! I found us on page 2! :eek: What's going on!? Tsk Tsk! :p

Today's work out was Janice Saffell's Strike Zone k/b w/o and wow. What a great work out it was! It's an older w/o and my first experience with JS. I really like her and the work out. It's a keeper! :D I finished off with a 3 minute prone plank on my elbows that darned near killed me! Good stuff! ;)

So.....what shall we rename ourselves...assuming we're all interested in continuing on together doing our own things? Thoughts?

My run with my group this morning was AWE-SOOOOME! Seriously. I'm gonna gush for a moment. I started running with this group this past summer...we meet on Saturday mornings at 7:30, run, then go to breakfast. I've gotten to be really good friends with SO MANY of these folks. Today, there had to be about 24 of us! I had to go 30 mins earlier because 1)I wanted to go further than the majority of the group and 2)I had to get out of the parking lot ASAP due to DS' basketball. So a few met up early with me, we ran 15 minutes out then 15 back, grabbed the rest of the group and hit a new HILLY trail. Total wsa 7.55 miles with average time of 9:15/mile. I'll take that. But these PEOPLE....they are THE BEST EVER! I feel like a gift just fell right into my lap. They are funny, generous, down-to-earth, sincere, good people. Every ONE of them. I hosted a Christmas party so we could all get together and include our families. Several of us have met up to do things other than out Sat morning runs. I'm just soooo blessed to have found this group and I PROMISE to never forget that.

OK...gush over. Run was great, the weather was COLD but GORGEOUS and the hilly course was, of course, hilly but off-road at times on snow-covered earth. Incredible.

Having my tea now, then off to sit with my nieces ages 3 & 6. Heaven help me! :)

I am sore today from doing Disc 3. I really felt HOW sore while doing this morning's work out too! :eek: I did STRIKE ZONE by Janice Saffell. I picked it up a few days ago and this was my first time trying it. Loved it and I like Janice too. 2 thumbs up! I finished off the work out with a 3 min prone plank hold on my elbows that almost killed me! It was awesome! ;) LOL

Terina:: NP about keeping the check in alive. I am known for that! ;) Gotta love INTENSITY! Good job!

Gayle:: Sounds like an amazing group you run with. Good for you! I made a friend when I was taking running classes a while back. We don't get together/talk like we used to but we can hang out after not talking for months and it's like not a day went by. :) As for a name for our check in...hmmm...well we could go in any direction we want to really...wow...this could be a daunting decision to make, Gayle! :eek: LOL I'll have to think about it and get back to you! ;)
