Death, sanity and Cathe tapes

Cathe,

It's taken me 6 years to write this to you......you see in April of 2000 I lost my beloved husband (36 yrs.old) to cancer after a 14 month battle. He and I were both fitness junkies, and we did everything together. When our 2 children were born, he involved himself with the city sports programs to pass along his love of football, hockey and baseball. During his long illness, he would encourage me to continue my morning workouts (knowing how important they were to me) even though it would mean he would have to wait for me. I could see in his eyes his pride in me, and the longing of not being to move so powerfully (he was 6', 215 of solid muscle before the cancer), but he knew that the consistency of the workouts were the only thing holding my sanity together in the otherwise crazy world of chemo, radiation, MRI's, shots etc.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you....you don't know me in the sea of people who are your fans, but if weren't for you and your tapes I would have been lost. Thank you

Hello,

I'm not Cathe, but I wanted to extend to you my deepest sympathy. Cathe has also been a BIG help to me since I lost my mother.

Dear Wkgmom,

I'm feeling so emotionally moved right now. I'm so sorry to hear of your husbands loss. He obviously was an extremely, kind, loving, selfless man....and unbelievably supportive too. I'm sure that you and your children speak with him daily in your hearts and minds and that he is still (and always will be) strongly supportive of all that you do. Just imagining this makes my heart smile. I have lost some friends at this age due to cancer too and it just seems so unfair. Cancer is an ugly beast and it takes away too many precious lives. Thank you for finding the strength to come visit today and share your story. I am touched and feel good in knowing that I was there to help you when you needed some extra strength.

Big hugs to you and your family,
Cathe

I wanted to thank all of you and especially you Cathe for taking the time in your busy lives to write me and send me your well wishes. You are all a wonderful group. Thank you

Wkgmom,

You're post made me tear up. I'm sorry for your loss as well. Thank you for your courage to post. Blessings to you and your family!

Wkgmom - I am also so sorry for your loss, but thankful for your courage and strength of character. Hearing stories of people who long to work out, but cannot, just brings home how fortunate we are to be able to move and torture our bodies to be as healthy as we can. Your story is truly an inspiration. ((((((HUGS))))))
