Deanie's Rotation Tues. 4/17

Good Morning All!

Today was day 3 of rotation with SS/PP shoulders, bis and tris and then abs----Kickbox Planks and B&G ankle weights abs.
Deanie, I still ended up with a total of 85 min. I must be adding something that you are not!!:eek:
You guys asked what type of yoga class I take. I am not sure but I would call the level intermediate. The gym that I belong to is the wonderful college rec center, so 95% of the class are college students 1/2 my age!!
Marcy--Did you watch DWTS?? My favs--Apolo, Laila, Ian and Joey in that order and Mr. Achey Breaky need to go home.

Good Morning Gin and all who come after

Today was Imax 3 for me. It's my favorite Imax. I am surprisingly not sore today.

Gin- Are you doing 8-10 reps of everything? or following Cathe? I follow her for the "count" so I don't start letting momentum take over, but I am doing 8-10 reps, then I ff the dvd to the next part. Could that be it? Also for SS are you doing the Upper body blast, that may save time too.?

Marcy/Tracee- hope you guys have great workouts today.

Hi everyone!

Today was Plyo X for me. Got through it much better today than last week. I still have a tiny bit of chest congestion but I'm pretty much all better. I don't know if I'm getting more fit or if Plyo X is just not that hard. Don't get me wrong, there are a few moves which really test your stamina like circle run, hot foot (hopping on one foot making the shape of a cross - this is done for a minute 30 secs. each side), knee tucks and rock star hops (really a jump - picture yourself with a guitar and jumping up with both knees while circling your arm, similar to jump knee tuck but instead of bringing knees to chest, you bring feet to butt) but my heart rate didn't go up past 89% (158) whereas in IMAX 3 (my favorite as well, deanie) I've gone as high as 101% (180). I can't wait to do Cathe's workouts again to compare. My body fat is now at its lowest ever (21.9%) and I even cheated a little yesterday.:)

Gin - I watched DWTS last night. I agree with you about the order and that Mr. Achy Breaky has to go home but Clyde should definitely go home first. He looked really horrible.

Tracee - Hope you were able to workout today. You can finally take a deep breath and relax from the craziness.

Deanie/Gin/Tracee: So are you guys feeling a major difference with this rotation so far? Are you feeling more tired/hungry/DOMS? I know I'm feeling all three.

Marcy- I have had no DOMs since starting the X, except for Legs, when I did the treadmill and Leaner Legs. I am definately feeling more tired and it is hard to get up at 5:30 a.m. lately. I don't know if I am feeling more hungry, because I eat every 2-3 hours, but I think so. I realized this morning the Steel Oats didn't hold me as long as they usually do, and also, not that Imax 3 is easy, but it was easier for me today than ever before, usually by blast 5 or 7 I really have to push my self, but not today. Do you think its the X? I was thinking with less cardio, the cardio we do would be harder. Hmm... How about you Gin/Tracee?

I like the X and I am enjoying the change. This is not the right week (TOM) for me to notice any changes, hopefully next week:)

Deanie--I am doing SS Upper Body Blast, but am also doing all that Cathe does!! I haven't been counting her reps, but I guess they are more than 8-10!! So am I sure not to see any progress now?? That would be just my luck!!:-(

Macry--I didn't see Clyde dance last night so I didn't comment, but I should have figured he didn't do well. I hope Apolo and his cute little partner repeat their performance tonight. They were alot of fun to watch! I'm thinking I may want to buy IMAX3 the way you guys talk about it! Do you wear a HRM with every workout? I forget about mine, but it doesn't work in front of the tv! I have been a little tired but then my alarm is set for 4:55! Haven't been hungrier but my shoulder has been bothering me.

I am waiting for the gyn. nurse to call me back. I am thinking that my taking the bc pill is preventing me from gettng this weight off. I started taking it about 6 months ago and gained 5 lbs then. Don't know why this thought just occured to me now!

Hi Gin,

I'm sure you'll see Apolo's performance again tonight. They have a recap at 8:00 before the results show at 9:00. As far as doing more than 8-10 reps, that's still okay but if you want to build muscle more than endurance, I would pick a heavier weight and only do 8-10 reps. I think Cathe usually does 12 reps. I wear a heart rate monitor with every workout. I have a Polar F4 and don't have any problems with it. I would definitely get IMAX 3. I wish Cathe would come out with an IMAX 4!

Hello everyone. You guys are probably done talking for the night but it was the first time I was able to get on the computer all day. :-(

I did manage to get up and do IMAX2 today. I slept in a little so I was only able to get through 8 rounds but I was still feeling a good sweat!!

I've definitely been feeling hungrier and more DOMS with this workout. My legs and butt were sore for 4 days after last weeks leg workout. I was really feeling my abs today after yesterdays workout and was feeling sore in the front of my shoulders today from yesterday's work. I think that is from the pullovers because Cathe mentions that it does work your rotator. I think I'm going to push myself to do more push ups next week. I've been stopping at 8 but I think on the regular ones and wide fly ones I could do more. I find that I do the least amount that is required until I read that one of you guys have done more, then I want to push myself to keep up with you guys. :7

I'm officially done with my busy season so I should be spending more time online now. I thought I would have more time today but it turned out to be crazy with lots of procrastinators waiting until the very last day.

I'm looking forward to the upper body work tomorrow!!
