Deanie's Rotation Tues. 3/3

Good Morning!

Today I did Jari Love's Ripped 1000. This was the first time for me. I KNOW I didn't burn anywhere near 1000 calories! It was a tough workout and I did modify some of the exercises, but for me the fun factor just wasn't there like I find in Cathe's workouts. I just kept looking at the clock. Yet, if I thought it would produce results, I would mix it in my rotation every so often.

Marcy--I have Firm Cardio and Strength CrossTrainers, but thank you for the kind offer. I don't think my DS is by any means ready or even thinking that he is ready to get married. I have heard that boys aren't fully mature until 25. I believe it...maybe even older!!;-) Let us know what you think about Baron Baptiste's yoga. How did you like DWTS last night?

Deanie--Hope you are enjoying your company.

Tracee--Have a great day and don't work too hard!

Good Morning Gin and all who come after-

Thank you all for the holiday well wishes. The Seder was fun and the food was delicious (brisket and potatoes as the main meal- what could be bad?!):) There was lots of choc. varieties for dessert (I like to get alot so the kids enjoy the holiday) I had fresh fruit and then I did have one bar of chocolate! You have to live a little sometimes- right?!:9

Today I dug out an old video- dance to fitness with Jennifer Kries (I think Gin mentioned her one day) I did the ballet warmup and isolations (which I love) it was about 20 min. and a good stretch. This is a good week for a rest week, I'm able to sleep late and still do a light workout.

Gin- I also have those firm tapes and vol. 4 of the older firms. I really like vol. 4.

Marcy- what are you doing this week? A rest week or a week of a rotation?

Tracee- I hope work isn't too frantic for you- 12 more days to go!

Have a great day and happy workouts!

Hi everyone!

This morning I did Cardio Kicks for the first time. I liked it much better than I thought. (Thanks, Deanie.) It's not as intense as KPC or Kick Max but good for a recovery week, which is kind of what I'm doing. I only burned 369 calories compared with 524 for KPC. I think I liked the intensity drills/kicks/punches at the end. The two guys aren't bad to look at either. Tomorrow I plan on doing Yoga X, Thursday - Core Synergistics and Friday Stretch X. I took my measurements this morning. I lost an inch in my waist and 1/4" in my thighs. I also gained 1/2" in my biceps. I'm very happy. I lost size in my biceps when I did Jari last month. Most of her stuff is not for me but I still like Ripped to the Core. Since all of us are doing the X for the next few months, it might be a good idea to take our measurements before and after to see how far we've come.

Gin - I agree the fun factor isn't there with Jari. I thought the cardio drills were really boring and some of them were even the same but they did get my heart rate up. My DH and I both agree about the maturity age of 25. I think the car rental companies have it right. They don't let you rent until 25. If they only didn't let anyone drive until 25. Think of how many less accidents and deaths there would be. I'll let you know about the yoga when I get it. I liked DWTS last night but I think I liked last week better. My favorites are still the same but this week I think either Clyde or Leeza should go. They just don't have "it".

Deanie - Glad your Seder went well. Isn't it nice to dig out old stuff or virgin workouts?

Tracee - Hope you've been able to get some rest these days. Is your DS all back to normal now?

BBL. Have a great day.

Marcy

Marcy- I'm surprised you didn't like CK more than KM. I guess its because I do:) I would absolutely like to take my measurements, could you let me know what to measure? I am hoping to gain definition with the X, does that mean lose inches or gain? Your SASE went out in the mail today!! Enjoy!

Deanie

Hi Deanie,

I don't think I said I liked KM more than Cardio Kicks. I do think KM is more intense though because of the intensity blasts but I really did like CK. I also forgot to say that I felt this in my abs. My biceps are achy from yesterday's workout. I seem to always get DOMS from the Gym Styles. As far as measurements go:

Body fat - don't know if you have a scale or Body Fat Analyzer. I have the scale. I know it's not totally accurate but it does gauge whether I'm going up or down.

Weight
Chest
Waist
Hips
Thighs
Biceps

As far as losing or gaining inches, with the exception of biceps (where I like to gain), everything else I would like to see a loss of inches.
Thanks for the SASE. I'm sure I'll enjoy it after the X is over.

Good Afternoon!

I have been writing down what I will eat the night before and I have been eating clean and staying in my pts. range (for 2 days anyway!!;-) ). But, as you guys know that is my biggest struggle. I really do pretty well (no junk) but I just don't lose very easily!!:-(

Deanie--Glad that you are enjoying your holiday. I remember going to my neighbor's Passover Seder as a little girl. Enjoy you "rest" week. I also had The Firm Vol. 1, but gave that one away. I started the Firm in 1986!! Were you even born yet??;-)

Marcy--I think I like CK better than KM, but maybe the same as KPC. Good idea to take measurements before we begin the X rotation. My scale measures your body fat %, but don't know how accurate it is. There WOULD be fewer accidents with no drivers under 25, but my oldest DS might have a little trouble. He is 23 and works 30 minutes from where he lives. :p Concerning DWTS----Clyde needs to go! Sorry, Clyde. My favs were Apolo, Laila and Ian this week.

Hi Tracee!

Gin

Hi Gin,

Just wondering: do you eat every 3 hours? It definitely helps me to have 5 meals a day. I write down every day what I eat. This is the one thing that has truly helped keep my weight down. As soon as I stop writing, the weight goes back up. I also gave up chocolate for lent, so that helped. And yes, I hope Clyde goes tonight. I don't think he's going to get any better as time goes on. I had the same faves as you.

Tracee - Hope we hear from you soon.

Marcy

I probably missed you guys but....

Marcy- I also feel CK in my abs- Cathe even says, we don't need ab work with this workout:) I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the measurement info.- I don't know if I want to know my hips measurements though-LOL!

Gin- funny! Of course I was born before '86- I grad. college in '87!!:) I agree with Marcy about the eating. I think eating every 3 hours is what helped me lose inches. I still ate the same points, just at intervals instead of just breakfast, lunch, dinner. And I too always write down what I ate. It definately helps.

Hi Tracee!
