Good Morning!

Today I did The Firm Super Cardio Mix. I used to do this one a lot. It was not as tough as Cathe cardio, but I did break quite a sweat! Yesterday I did Timesaver #1. I'm tryng to do some different workouts this week before our X rotation next week. My printer is not working so I haven't been able to print our final rotation.

Good Morning Gin and everyone who comes after!

I missed checking in with you all this weekend. I hope you all had a nice weekend. I did Pilates this morning. Just 20 min. but it was good. I like the timesaver idea, I have that dvd, but I've never used it.

Off to food shop, tonight is the first Seder and I've got a lot to do before then. :)

Good morning Gin & Deanie!

I think that's a smart idea to do some workouts that you haven't done in a while. I took a look at Debbie's April rotation and liked most of what she had during the first week so I'm going to loosely follow that. Today was Push/Pull upper body premix and C&W abs. Yesterday I did a KPC premix and my arms and legs are sore today.

I printed the faux 90X rotation yesterday and I hope I can stick with it. I think the main difficulty I'll have is having to jump around on the discs. Hopefully, my dvd player will cooperate. It's also going to take a little while to get used to it so I don't want to get frustrated having to constantly refer back to the paper. When we're doing the weight work do I understand it correctly that we're only doing 8 to 10 reps even if the Cathe we're following does 16? I think that was my only question after looking through the rotation.

Good Morning Ladies:

This weekend was a rest weekend. We had our first visitor come to look at our house. We were supposed to have someone come over yesterday so we hurriedly cleaned the house from top to bottom and he never showed up. This morning I did GS BS&B. I didn't have a lot of energy this morning but I managed to do okay.

Dbbl row reverse grip - 26# first 2 sets, did part of 3rd set at 26# and then went down to 21#
Dbbl 1 arm row - 26# - 8 reps both sets
Bbl pullover - 40# both sets - 7 reps 1st set, 8 reps 2nd
Dbbl Overhead Press - 15# all 3 sets, 10/8/7 reps
Dbbl Lateral raise - 13.5# both sets, 10 reps each set
Dbbl Rear Fly - 12# both sets all reps
Bbl curls - 32# 8 reps 1st set, 4 reps 2nd set
Dbbl curls - 10# first set, 8# 2nd set
Concentration curls - 13# 1st set, 12# 2nd set lost count of reps
Curl Up/Wrist Down - 12# 7 reps, 10# 3 reps
Hammer curls - started with 12#, went down to 10# no bonus
Dbbl wrist curls - 10# both sets all reps

Gin - Yes, I have to say you are very dedicated getting up at 4:30 in the morning. I have yet to get up that early. I also have Firm Super Cardio Mix. Don't do it very often but it's not bad. Not as tough as Cathe but still a good workout.

Deanie - Happy Pesach! Glad you got a workout in today with all you have to do.

Tracee - With P90X, you choose your reps. If you're going more for muscle building and strength, choose 8-10 reps. If you're going for endurance, choose 12-15 reps. Did you mean Debbie's April rotation or Cathe's? I didn't see that Debbie did an April rotation.

Marcy - I guess I didn't really pay attention to what the rotation was other than it was from Debbie. :) I went back and looked and it's her get ready for summer rotation and she orginally posted it at the end of March '06.

I'm taking a break!

Tracee- Marcy answered your ?- I wanted to let you know we are going to do 8-10 reps. Also, use your mix and match feature for the dvds and you should be okay. I tried to use one dvd and all the excersises we needed on it and then we move on to the next one. I actually have the same concerns as you, but I think once we go thru it once and are familiar with it, that will help.

Gin- I fogot to ask how parents weekend was. Good I hope!

Marcy- Thank you for the holiday greeting! I love this holiday and I'm happy to have family here for it. I just got your SASE! My DS was bringing in the mail and was all excited for me that I got a big envelope!!!:) I will send it out this week!

I forgot to say I love Cathes new catalog. I am going to get the t- shirts with the diff. color sleeves! they are so cute! I don't think they are in yet, hopefully soon! How about you guys- anything?

Good Afternoon!

Deanie--Happy Passover! Is it 3 sets of 8-10 reps? I have got to get my printer fixed or I will really be lost next week! I love the new catalog, and am sure I will want something, just don't know what yet. Parent's Weekend was fun, thank you for asking. We met DS's GF's parents for dinner and enjoyed meeting them. Sounds serious, but they are only 19.:)

Tracee--C&W abs are my favorites, but then that song gets stuck in my head the rest of the day.:7

Marcy--Do/ did you have very many Firm tapes? I had a ton and was very much a "Firmie" for YEARS, but once I found Cathe, I never looked back!!:D

Hi again,

Gin - No, I don't have many Firm tapes, just Super Cardio Mix (which my DH actually got me for Christmas one year) and Firm Cardio and Strength Cross Trainers which I got in a used goods store (in good condition). I've been trying to trade them to no avail so if you don't have them and want them, just send me an SASE and they're yours. Glad you had a good time at Parents Weekend. I would tell you to tell DS not to rush it but who's to say he'll listen. But hopefully you have a gem of a DS and he listens to your every word. We just had words with mine last night and he thinks now that he's 18, he thinks he can do whatever he wants.

As for the rotation: It's not 3 sets of 8-10 reps but 1 set for each exercise you do. Some days the exercises are repeated and some days they aren't. P90X alternates body parts for each exercise. Cathe does the reverse and does each part to failure and then goes to the next body part. With P90X, hopefully you'll get stronger because you'll have more rest for each body part. Hope that makes sense.

I won Byron Baptiste's Power Yoga: The Next Challenge on ebay. I'll let you know how I like it when it comes. I'm trying to get the Ultra Challenge as well.

Tracee - C&W abs are also a favorite of mine. I remember the first time I did them off Fit TV and those jackknives nearly killed me.
