Good Morning Girls :)

I was up bright and early this morning! I am subbing at work today and need to be there at 8:15! I did day 3 of the rotation today. I upped my weights with the excersises today. It was interesting working in the supersets way. Good to mix it up! I have 2 yoga tapes that are over an hour. One is David Swenson, and one is Tracy White. I think I will do one of those tomorrow, in keeping with the X's yoga length.

Gin- It only took me an hour today including abs. I think its because I only did 10 reps of each excersise and then ff to the next. For dips in PP I didn't even bother following Cathe, I just did them on my own.

Marcy- How many reps do we do with non weighted excersises?(i.e. dips on ball or inverted shoulder press?) How was your workout today?

Tracee- How'd you do today? 4 more days till tax season is over!!:)

I upped my weights for the excersises today, but didn't increase during the excersises. I will up some weights next time.
Overhead press: 17#/10 reps
preacher curls: 30#/10 reps
triceps extension: 12#/10 reps
(same weights and reps again)
rear delt fly: I actually followed Cathe the first time and used 3# and did the same reps she did.
concentration curls: 15#/10 reps each arm
dips on ball: 10
rear delt fly: 5#/10reps of rear delt flys only
conc. curls: same as above
dips on ball: 12
inverted shoulder press: 12 (really felt those)
hammer curls on ball: 15#/10 reps
dips with bar: 35#/12 reps
(same weights and reps again)
front raise: 15# DB/10 reps
bicep curls on ball: 15#/10 reps
kickbacks: 10#/10 reps (will up to 12# next week)
(same weights and reps again)
I did CTX kickbox planks and ME abs with 8# med. ball

Now that I'm typing, my arms are feeling it :) yay!

Have a good day all,
BBL,

Deanie

Good Morning!

Today I ran 3 miles on the treadmill and then came home to do Baron Baptiste Unlocking Athletic Power Yoga. Are you cringing again, Deanie?? My yoga instructor was sick today.:-(
Cathe is planning to announce the new products and upcoming filming schedule sometime today!!:7 Oh good....more things I will want to buy! $$$$

Deanie--Glad the workout was only an hour for you. Did I do too many curls? I am not as sore as I thought I would be. I've never heard of Tracy White.

Marcy--Have you been watching DWTS?? The dancers seem to be either good or not at all with no one in the middle.

Tracee--We miss you!

I am frightened of tomorrow's workout ...B&G Leg Blast. I have done this premix twice and I wrote "OUCHIE!!" and "A TON OF LUNGES!". I better rest up!!:p

Good morning!

Today was Shoulders & Arms and Ab Ripper X.

Alternating Shoulder Presses: Round 1 - 9 reps, 15#, R2 - 8R, 15#
In & Out Bicep Curls (with this exercise and a few others, 16 reps are done): Round 1 - 16R, 12#, Round 2 - 16R, 13#
Two-Arm Tricep Kickbacks - Round 1 - 12 reps 13#, R2 - 12 reps 14.5#
(will try 15# next week)
Deep Swimmer's Press - Rounds 1 and 2 - 9 Reps, 15#
Full Supination Concentration Curls - R1 - 8R, 13#, R2 - 10R, 13.5#
Chair Dips - R1 - 20 reps, R2 - 30 reps with 1 leg in air, switched legs every 5 reps
Upright Rows - Rounds 1 and 2 - 10 R, 13# (will go higher next time)
Static Arm Curls (16 reps), Rounds 1 and 2 - 12#
Flip-Grip Twist Tricep Kickbacks - Rounds 1 and 2 - 8R, 12# (these felt a little wierd at first, kickbacks are done in both directions). I think Cathe does something similar, I think it's S&H Tris.
Two-Angle Shoulder Flys (also a 16 rep exercise)- Round 1 - 10 Reps, 12# (didn't realize it was 16 reps at first), Round 2 - 16 reps, 13#
Crouching Cohen Curls - (crouched down with elbows between knees and curl - these were tough). Round 1 - 9 Reps, 12#, Round 2 - 8R, 13#
Lying Down Tricep Extensions: Round 1 - 10R, 12#, Round 2 (got brave but lost it), did 2 reps with 13#, then 6 reps with 12#
Bonus Round:
In & Out Straight Arm Shoulder Flys (forward & side raises) (another 16 rep exer.) - Used 10# both rounds, will go up to 12# next time.
Congdon Curls - didn't do well with this one. It's basically a curl up and hammer down. Maybe I was just running out of steam.
Round 1 - 7 1/2 at 12#
Round 2 - 4 reps at 12#, 2 reps at 10#
Side Tri Raises - Rounds 1 and 2 - 15 each side

Ab Ripper X - This is a tough, challenging core workout. Cathe's were starting to get a little easy for me so I'm glad I have something new to challenge me. Tough moves for me were: cross legged sit-up - lying down, one hand is behind head with legs crossed, lift up and do sit up (you can also do this with legs straddled out and arm reaches over to opposite foot), fifer scissors (lying down, one leg in air, opposite leg off floor a few inches, hold for 3 seconds and then switch legs), and Rollup-V-up combo (bring body up like doing a standard sit up, touching hands to toes, slowly lower torso towards floor while simultaneously bringing legs to 45 degrees, bring torso back up and reach for your toes while legs are in the air, then lower entire body to starting position.)

I find I'm drinking more water with these workouts (although Tony has water breaks built into the workouts which I kind of like) and I think I'm also going to need more sleep. I really like the way P90X workouts are made. Each exercise is only 30-45 seconds and the time flies by really quickly. There's also a timer in the right hand corner letting you know how much time is left in the workout.

Deanie - Sounds like you had a really good workout. Your weights are impressive. I have a feeling we'll be making substantial strength gains with this rotation. With non-weighted exercises, you do maximum reps.

Gin - Yes, that was me bidding on IMAX 3. Did you win it? Baron's Ultimate Challenge is 47 minutes. I haven't tried either of them yet. I'll report when I do them. I saw Monday's DWTS. Apollo and Joey are still my favorites. I'm glad Leeza got kicked off. I don't know who was worse this week Clyde or Leeza. As bad as Leeza was though, I think she's trying. Clyde doesn't seem to care one bit. How is Unlocking Athletic Power compared to Next Challenge? Good luck with Leg Blast tomorrow. As you know, I hate lunges so I'm really not missing B&G right now.

Tracee - Come back. We miss you. I'm sure you must be going crazy these last few days.

Can't wait to hear Cathe's announcement but my CC sure can!

BBL. Have a great day.

Marcy

Good Afternoon!

Have you guys seen all the things that Cathe has in the works for us?? I am going to go broke and my DH is not going to like it!!;-)

Marcy--Your workout was quite impressive!! Did it take over an hour? I did not make a bid on IMAX3 because I did not want to bid against you, but I think it sold for $17.00. The seller was imbargaincrazy and I know she is a reputable seller. Unlocking Athletic Power is (I think) from a set of 3 dvds and was filmed with a live class. I only have this one from the set. I bought it at Half Price Books a few years ago. I like the fact that it is 30 min. long. The Next Challenge is 60 min. filmed in a studio and it seems to drag on too long for me. I may look into buying some of his others.

Deanie--How was your day at the nursery school?

Tracee--We look forward to your joining us again!

Good Afternoon!

I ran home from school (not really, had to go to the library to get a book for my class tommorrow) ;-) to see what the announcement is....And yes, I want ALL the workouts! S&H is my favorite weight lifting workout and I'm psyched for the new one! I also like the splits, and the boxing I have never done but I am excited to try!!!! I'd like to know when she is going to start her presale! I ordered the first day last time and I'd like to again this time.

Marcy-very impressive on the weights:) I went to the beachbody.com website but couldn't figure out how to buy just the one tape. Some of the excersises you mentioned from Ab ripper are on my pilates tape.

Gin- My day was long today. Ir eally like the women I work with and it is my favorite 4 year old class, but I was up at 5, and at work at 8:15 and by 11:30, I could have used a nap:) Then we went out for recess and WOW! I woke up- it is cold here in MD!!!:) But its good I'm working-(work can finace my habit): I NEED Cathes new workouts!!!!LOL

Tracee- Hey! Hope you are still working out (and thinking of us:) )You must be really busy this week!!! Take care!

Deanie

Hi Gin!

My whole workout took 1:32:12. Since it was the 1st time doing the workout, I had to rewind a few times to get the moves down correctly. I hope it goes a little faster next time. I also HAVE TO get more weights this weekend. I know my DH isn't going to like that because he doesn't want me bringing more weights into the house before we move but it has to be done. You're right about imbargaincrazy. She's a great seller. I got the Pyramids and KPC/L&G from her.

I love all of Cathe's new workouts. The 4 day split is great. I'm glad it's heavy lifting and they're only 60 minutes. For the 5th day, I'm going to add a yoga workout. It'll be great because I can't always work out 6 days a week. An updated S&H is also exactly what I wanted. It's nice she's coming out with a lot more heavy lifting since most of her stuff is endurance. I'm sure Deanie will be happy with this too. I just hope she has some new choreography. The last set bored me a little. As much as I like the idea of boxing, I have so many new workouts, I don't think I need that one right away but I'll have to see the prices for the presales before I make any decision. The only one I'm not interested in is the total body high rep workout. The ones I have I really don't use that much.
