Good Morning Girls

Today was B&G leg blast for me. To quote Gin "OUCHIE"!! I seriously didn't know if I could finish out with those last leg squat/lunge combo!! I also added PH abs (6 min.) I wasn't sure about if I wanted to work them. I felt like I worked my abs yesterday with the yoga, and I know tomorrow I will with CK, so I only did 6 min.

Tracee- How is your son now that he has had time to get used to the idea of surgery for his tonsils? Its great to have you back on the boards:)

Gin- I have a few friends who work out, but not like we do. They do spin class or treadmill only. How was your dinner last night? BBQ?

Marcy- My DH works retail, so I sent him to work with the name of Barons yoga to see if he has it in his store:)

Good Morning!

Today was KPC and it did seem long with the extra 23 min. I was used to the FitTv version and this was the first time I had done the entire thing. WHEW! But it was fun.:)

Deanie--Tonight is barbeque. Last night wasn't too bad with baked chicken, salad and potatoes and green beans. I am glad to know that something hurts you with the endless lunges on B&G}( }( }( Sorry!

Tracee--Are you still tired from long work hours or do you feel back to normal yet?

Marcy--I previewed Kristin McGee's Power yoga this morning (very quick preview)and it looks pretty good. Do you think it would be okay to do this tomorrow on my "rest" day? I also "won" Baron Baptiste's Power Yoga Level 3 last night for $5.00. Not sure if that is the one you have or not. I have got to QUIT buying more dvds. It's like I am posessed and you guys are all responsible!!;) :7 ;)

Hi girls!

Today was Legs & Back for me. I'm still having trouble staying out of bed after the alarm goes off so I didn't do Ab Ripper X. I'm going to try and do it tomorrow and if not, tomorrow after Kenpo. The wall squats and chair salutations are still a challenge for me.
This rotation is still wiping me out but one of the people at the check-in over at VF just completed the Classic Rotation and she said in Phase 2 she wasn't quite so tired, cranky and hungry. That gave me some encouragement.

Gin: Yes, it's a big difference going from KPC on FitTV to the DVD version but it's so much better. I can't wait to do this one again. Sounds like you ate real well last night. Yes, I think you could do the yoga on your rest day. How does it look compared with Baron's Next Challenge? Yes, the Power Yoga Level 3 Ultimate Challenge is what I did yesterday. Hope you like it. Like you, I have to quit buying more DVDs but I just can't help myself. I just got Yoga Zone's Power Yoga for Strength & Endurance which I hear is quite tough. I'll give a review after I do it.

Deanie: Hope your DH can get you the Baron DVD. I also wondered about doing abs after yoga. Yesterday's workout didn't have too much ab work in it but Yoga X has the yoga belly 7 which is intense ab work.

Good afternoon ladies. I'm checking in late because I had appointments this morning and got into work late. This morning I wasn't in the mood to work my legs so I substituted for some yoga and pilates from On Demand. It was good and I enjoyed the pilates a lot. I think it was just what I needed this morning. I'm going to work legs tomorrow and then take Sunday off. I'll probably be outside walking a lot because we're supposed to have a beautiful weekend.

Deanie - Yes, I was up watching Lost on Wednesday night and that is why I was so tired yesterday. Last night I was just up late dealing with the kids because my husband wasn't home so I was tired again this morning but I still managed to get up.

Gin - I feel pretty much back to normal. Just tired from the normal family stuff now.

Marcy - I hope you get your energy back in the next round of the X.

Tracee - Glad you got to do an enjoyable workout. Do you know who the instructor was? It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend by us too. It'll be so nice to let some fresh air into the house. Hopefully, your DH will be home tonight so you can get some well-deserved rest.

Good Afternoon!

Okay, now that its been a full 2 weeks and my body is back to itself, I have to say: I am soooo tired! Wed. night I went to bed at 9:15 and last night I stayed up late- 10:30 (watching lost and the tape ran out the last 15 min!!! arggghhh!) Today I am exhausted!!! I am encouraged that the next phase won't be so tiring! The funny thing is, is I am enjoying the rotation, even with the having to use the mix and match feature. (which I thought would bother me) I wonder if its because of the change in program, or the heavy weights, or what! Okay, thanks for letting me rant :)

I'm glad to hear you all had a fun workout today. :)

Its supposed to be beautiful this weekend by us too. I have a baseball game at 8:30 in the morning and one at 5pm tomorrow :) I will still be checking in though.

Have a fun/happy/thank goodness Spring is finally here! weekend :)

PS- I actually had a few people mention to me I looked like I lost weight (probably inches) I'm not sure if its because I did, or because I wore a tank top today and usually I wear 3 layers because the weather was so cold! LOL :*

I bet you probably lost inches. The girl that just finished the X over at videofitness lost 5 pounds (but in 3 months that's not that much, although for strength training you're not really supposed to lose weight, you actually have to eat more) but lost inches all over. I'm thinking I might have lost a little in my thighs. I wanted to wait until May 1st to check my measurements but I'm really curious about the rest of me as well. Every time I go dancing, everyone says how great I look and how much weight I lost. I don't know if it's previous weight that I lost or they mean I'm still losing. I'm glad we only have one week to go before recovery week. Not that it's such an easy week but a little easier. Doing Ab Ripper X after each strength workout is really hard on me. The cardio is definitely easier than Cathe but the pullups/chinups are a killer!

Hope your kids have good games tomorrow.

Don't know if I'll be on the boards this weekend but I'll try. If I don't speak to all of you, have a great weekend. Enjoy the spring weather.
