Good Morning Everyone!

Today was PS legs and abs. I actually woke up at 4:30 this morning and after lying in bed for an hour, got up and worked out!:) It was a good workout and I enjoyed it. The floor work was short, and to the point! She did the deadlifts a little differently and I felt it. Now I have my 2 days rest. I actually pulled some shorter workouts I have: dance 30 min. and pilates 20 min. and David Swenson, I can do his 30 min yoga. I may try to do just these 3. I'll have to play it by ear.

Marcy- I forgot I wanted to comment on your ? about GS pushups. I also think they are overkill (actually the only thing I think Cathe went overboard on) It is not an endurance workout, so that is why I usually don't do them all. From the very begining, I was able to do them all and on my toes, so for me, it was more boring (not sure if thats the right word....) than challenging. I'd rather get to the weight work and be challenged. I hope your DS had a fun birthday.

Gin- Have fun at parents weekend!

Tracee- hope you had a good workout. Are you doing the faux X with Gin and I?

Off to my pedicure (yea!) this morning, then popping into my younger sons class to read to them (reading week at school)
BBL,

Deanie

Hi guys!

Today I decided to do PS Legs and abs instead of GS Legs. I think Deanie inspired me with all of her PS talk. I haven't done that one in ages and I enjoyed it. PS is usually not one of my favorites because of the old look and the different crew but today it was good. I really felt my hamstrings too in the deadlifts. I think I'm going to do them more that way even when she's doing a full deadlift in other videos.

Yes, I am planning on doing the X with you guys. I still haven't printed it out and looked it over so I can't even tell you how confused I'll be. We'll be starting it during my very busiest time at work so it will be a challenge to find time to plan my strategy but I'll figure it out. I like the idea of already having charts made up because I get irritated having to pause during a workout to do that.

Deanie - I didn't realize your parents were coming for so long. Where do they live? Are your kids on spring break next week too?

Gotta go.

Hi Ladies!

I had a horrible night's sleep last night so I didn't workout this morning.:( :( I need to do GS BS&B before the weekend is over. Then I'll do my recovery week. I will get to try Cardio Kicks for the first time.:) :)

Deanie - Yes, DS had a fun birthday. He went into Manhattan with his friends. Got his ear pierced (again!) You've really been pampering yourself this week. Good for you! Can you tell me what the exercises are on PS Legs besides the deadlifts? Deadlifts are the one leg exercise I really enjoy. I love the stretched feeling in my hamstrings. You and Tracee both commented on the deadlifts. How does she do them differently?

Gin - Have a great time at Parents Weekend.

Tracee - I'm so glad you'll be doing the rotation with us. Isn't your busy season almost over?

Have a great day.

Marcy

Good Afternoon!

Tracee- I'm glad your doing the rotation with us too:) I think the workouts should be about, and not over, an hour. Hopefully that will work for you. You should look it over next week when you can, so if you have ?s you can address them before hand. Funny, I liked the deadlifts in PS too!

Marcy- First, I pm'd you the other day, just want to let you know. I love earings on a guy. My DH had his ear pierced when we met, and then when we went on vacation, before we got married, he double pierced his ear. I love that:)

PS legs and abs
front and rear lunges with light weights
front and rear lunges with heavy weights
plie moving side to side with 15# bar (I used barbell)
plie squats
reg. squats
step ups (forget what they're called- high step with 4 risers and you put a foot on and the other is behind) one set done like always, second set you start on top and drop down - hope I explained that correctly.
sit and stands
deadlifts- 2/2 count and you don't come all the way up.
calves
Floorwork: (not sure of proper names of excersises):+
inner thigh leg lifts (I use ankle weights, Cathe uses 15#bar again)
outer thigh leg lifts ( me-ankle weights, Cathe-bar)
pelvic lifts (both feet on high step) (I think they're called) I use weights, Cathe-bar
hamstring- one leg in air, other on high step-heel pushing down, and lifting pelvis up

Have a great weekend! I will try and check in when I can next week!:)

Good Afternoon!
I also started the thread this morning.:)
I got quite busy doing other things this morning and planned on doing CK this aft., but I really don't have the time, so I guess this will have to be a rest day.

Deanie--Hope you enjoyed your pedicure! I'm due for another one myself. I'd really LIKE to be bored with all of the pushups in C&T. That is definitely my biggest challenge!!}( I don't have HSTA. Isn't that used for the X rotation? Enjoy your company. Hope you will still have time to post.

Tracee--Glad you will be doing the X rotation with us!

Marcy--Sorry you didn't sleep well last night. Hope tonight is better.

I have a question for you ladies---- You all seem so nice, polite and level-headed. I want your opinion on what to do, if anything. I have a mother of a child in my class that quit speaking to me or even looking at since her 5 year old son was not accepted to the private school that she wanted him to attend. His behavior is very disruptive and I guess she needed to blame someone for his not being accepted and that would be me. She has quit talking or looking at the director also. I continue to be polite and speak to her, but she ignores me. Should I just continue or should I try to ask her what is wrong? This has gone on long enough and it's very embarassing and immature on her part. I hate conficts!!
Thanks for letting me vent!:7

Have a great weekend. I'll be at Parent's Weekend.
Gin

Marcy- NO!! my DH does not have a spike thru his ear.:) Just 2 earrings in one hole- on days off- sometimes (he hit 40, 3 years ago and doesn't wear them all the time) Thanks for posting the times for the workouts, I hope our rotation is the same. (should be)

Gin- if you don't have HSTA, you can try HSC and do the body part excersises you need. Good luck with "crazy woman"- I would just let it ride and not talk to her, just be nice. I think if you talk to her, you're opening a whole can of worms. Have fun this weekend!

Have a fun weekend all:)

Deanie

Hello again,

Gin - I would also continue being nice to her. I do agree she's being immature but sometimes people always need someone to blame.

Deanie - The envelopes are all ready. Now I just need to get to the post office. Thanks so much for your generosity. Just think of all that clean shelf space you'll be getting.:)

Have a good weekend everyone.
