Deanies Rotation Check In Saturday 4/14

Good Morning All :)

Today I did my Sprint 8 program on the treadmill! It was definately challenging, but I did get thru the whole thing. I put it at a little above intermediate. I would use that level again a couple times before I moved on. I also did LL, which I did after the cardio. It was tough!!! I used a 35# bb and the same weights as Cathe, but after cardio makes it hard!

Today is Baseball Season Opening Games!!:7 :7 We are headed out for game 1 at 10:30, and game 2 starts right after game 1! so we won't be done till 3:30!I love watching the boys play!:7

Today I did Karen Voight Yoga. I need to get rid of this dvd. It's not one of my favorites. Oh well. It was rest day anyway.

Deanie--WTG with the Sprint program on the treadmill and LL. I'll bet it was tough. Could you let me know more about the treadmill workout? I wonder if it is something I could do on the treadmill at the gym. Enjoy your boys' baseball games! Both of our boys played baseball for YEARS and you'll have such good memories! In fact, my DH asked our neighbor if we could go watch their 6 year old play one of his games so we could see the old field!!

Gin- That is SWEET! (your DH) I hope you guys went and had fun:) I do love the games. My older DS played 2nd and pitched today. He played great and made 2 outs! My other son played great (machine pitch)- and it was fun to watch.

this is the treadmill program, I'm sure you can do it at the gym.
warm up: 3 min.: the machine had me at .5 but I upped it to 2.0
intervals:
first 2:30 min.: at 0 elevation and 4.5 speed (I lowered to 4.2)
then for 30 seconds the elevation is at 6 and the speed is at 7.2
this repeats for 4 cycles, then cycles 5-7 everything stays the same but the speed goes to 7.5 when the elevation is at 6.
cool down: 2:30 min at 4.2 (this wasn't good for me- I lowered it to 3.0 and went an extra minute longer)

To be honest, I held on to the side for the first 3 cycles when the elevation went to 6. I never used the elevation option before and it kinda freaked me out, and I thought I may fall off the back of the treadmill:+ Then I got more comfortable and was able to run without holding on. I also continuously lowered the level to 4.2 from 4.5 for the 2:30 min. that the elevation was at 0. (hope this all makes sense). This was level 11, level 17 was the highest it goes (definately afraid of that level:p )

Marcy- your workout yesterday looked HARD! how do you feel today?

I am looking forward to Mondays workout! Tomorrow is a rest day for me, but I will try and check in.
