Good Morning :)

Today was supposed to be an Imax, but I did speed intervals on the treadmill instead. It was a good workout: 45 min. and the intervals were 4.5 for 2min and 15 sec. and 6.0 for 2 min and 15 sec. I figured I'm still doing intervals, so I'm still within the plan :)

Marcy- chicken comma tomatoes!! LOL!!! the omlete now sounds even better :) I used to get allergy shots when I was younger (elementary school) and never thought about it as an adult. Last night at my DS ball game, another woman was having problems with her allergies and said she just started shots. It something I will look into. I have my annual exam next month, I think I will mention it then unless I get worse (Its only 3 more weeks). I am still looking for the Next Challenge- I would like to get it at a store and not have to pay shipping for one dvd.

Gin/Tracee- hope you have a good workout today!

Later-

Deanie--How are your allergies today? My DS used to take shots years ago. They helped him.

Tracee--Let us know how you like the BB. I don't even have room for one!

Marcy--I just recieved my B.Baptiste Yoga dvd. I did pay as much for the dvd as for the postage!! $5. each!

Have a great day all. I am getting later and later to work!

Hi girls!

This morning was Plyo X and I really gave it my all this morning. I don't think my endurance is back up to 100% yet after my asthma attack but it's much better. Plyo X is basically a hi/lo workout. There are some intense moves like knee tucks (I dread these!) and rock star hops (basically like knee tucks except your legs kind of go out to the side instead of up to your chest). On the knee tucks, he starts out slow but then goes double time (which I can't really do yet.) There's one guy on there who's like a jumping bean. He's amazing. It's like he's on springs. I burned about the same amount of calories today that I do during an IMAX.

Deanie - I would keep trying ebay for Baron Baptiste. I think I paid $3.29 in total for the DVD AND the shipping. You might get as lucky as me. So are you happy with your treadmill? Glad you had a good workout on it.

Gin - Congrats on getting the DVD. I'm sure you'll like it. Looks like you had another great workout today. I'm very impressed with the concentration curls and hammer curls. I guess you're a bicep girl. I definitely am not. How are the CTX kickbox abs compared to other Cathe ab routines? The most I like to pay for postage is $4 and even that's a lot considering when I see the postage when it's shipped, the highest I've seen is $1.81. They're just trying to make money on the shipping if they can't get it for the price of the DVD.

Tracee - Hope you have a good workout today.

Later. Have a great day.

Good morning.

Today I got up and tackled IMAX3 again. Well, I decided the only way I was going to begin to like it was if I took it in small steps. So I did intervals 6-10 today and it wasn't too bad. Don't get me wrong, I was definitely winded after a couple of the intervals but I didn't feel like I was stumbling all over the step or quitting in the middle of it.

My barbell is scheduled for delivery on Thursday so depending on whatever leg workout I do this week I might be able to try it out then. It's going to have to sit out on the floor which I'm not too happy about but oh well. At least it's in the basement and not in the main part of my house.

Gin - good job on the weights this week. I think you've been lifting heavier lately, is that true?

Deanie - it must be great to have a nice variety for cardio now. I hope you find a good solution to your allergies, it sounds miserable.

Marcy - Just the name PlyoX sounds tough to me. Ha!

I'm starving today again and can't seem to get enough food in me to keep me energized. I'm going to have to work on better planning ahead so I have better food choices when I'm at work.

Tracee

Hi Tracee,

Intervals 1, 4 and 7 always kill me in IMAX 3. I'm sure you'll be getting plenty of use out of your barbell. Cathey uses it a lot in all her workouts except for PUB where she uses the dumbbells. As far as your eating, the harder you workout, the hungrier you'll be. These workouts have definitely made me hungrier and the more strength training you do, the more you need to eat. I always make sure to have protein with every meal. It takes a little getting used to. I usually bring a 1 oz. reduced fat string cheese, a yogurt and a Fiber One bar to work with me for snacks. I also try to bring some nuts (either cashews or almonds). Try grilling some chicken on the weekends and putting it in wraps for during the week. You can add some vegetables to the wrap.

Marcy -

Those are great ideas for snacks. I'm a pretty picky eater but I like everything you suggested and it's very doable.

Interval 7 was the hardest one today for me too. I quit early on that one. I was expecting each one to get harder so I was a little nervous that I still had 3 to go. Ha!

Good afternoon :)

Gin- great job with the weights today! You really are lifting heavy now! My allergies are a little better today. I took sudafed 12 hour medication.

Tracee- My barbell sits on the floor of the basement, and thats fine. I don't think it matters. Its funny we are hungrier with this rotation, I always think extra cardio would make me hungrier. :)

Marcy- I like your snack ideas. I actually had yogurt, cheese sticks and banana with strawberries for a quick lunch today! Too much running around.

Deanie:

There are 3 copies of Baron Baptiste's Next Challenge up for sale on ebay. They're all from the same guy I bought it from. The shipping's only $2.00. The bids start at $.99. This is the one I got for $3.29 total. My DVD was new and sealed in the shrinkwrap. Happy bidding!

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Marcy--Those sound like tough moves on PlyoX !! I guess I was lifting heavier, but knowing that I only had 10 reps to do, I tried to go as heavy as I could. With CTX Kickbox abs (I have it on Ab Hits)I just do the planks. She has you on your hands and feet and you slowly move one knee to your chest and then the other several times slowly. Then you move so you are face up but still on your hands and heels (stright legs) and hold one leg up and then other leg up. I did this before B&G abs.
Did you watch DWTS?? My favs this week were Applo, Laila and then Joey.

Tracee--If IMAX3 is anything like Hardcore Extreme, I don't want it!! Tough Stuff!!}( }( }(

Deanie--Glad you are enjoying your treadmill. I plan on runnig tomorrow. My B.Baptiste dvd was also brand new.

Gin

Gin -

Yes, I watched DWTS. As usual, my faves are the same as yours. I didn't like Heather at all this week. I think she might be gone tonight. IMAX 3 is definitely like Hardcore Extreme. Hardcore Extreme actually has all of the workout on it except for the cooldown/stretch so you can see if you like all the intervals. That's why I held off on getting IMAX 3 so long since I really had the whole workout but I want to get the DVD so I can get the premixes. Also, I feel like the recovery times on the intervals were cut short on Hardcore Extreme although I know IMAX 3 has shorter recovery times than the other IMAXes. Also, I hate switching back and forth with my remote to each chapter to do the whole workout.

Thanks for the Kickbox review. Sounds similar to some moves in her new series although I can't remember which one.
