Good Morning Girls

Today was PUB. I did the abs first and then the upper body. I really admire anyone who can do the workout as is. Those pikes and rollins on the ball make my arms shake even before the workout! I raised my weights on the triceps, but had to drop from 12# to 10# half way thru on the way down the pyramid on biceps.

stats:
chest: 12-15-20
back: 15-20-25
shoulders: 3-5-7
tri: kickbacks: 8-10-12
tri: overhead press: 12-15-20
bi: 10-12-15 up
bi: 15#- then did all the hammer curls and 4 trad. curls 12# then dropped to 10#- then did the last 12 of each with 8# but should have stayed with 10#- I was confused! It was time to go down, and without thinking I dropped my weights!

I got to sleep in today. DH has to work today- just a half day- (normally his day off) and the kids went with him to work! I slept till 8am!

Tracee~ hope your son is doing well.

Marcy~ how was the last day of lifting?

Gin~ I have the classics and cardio hits and I rarely use them. If you can get them at a really rock bottom price, I would do it, otherwise, your not really missing anything. Cathe rarely uses them in her rotations except for step fit. Are you getting psyched for the road trip? Only 2 more months!

I hope to BBL,

Deanie

Hi Everyone!

Today was my last Back & Biceps workout. This is another tough one for me. I think I much preferred the Chest & Back & Shoulders & Arms weeks to CST & B&B. B&B is the shortest workout but it takes me so long with all the weight changes. I also dread bicep work, it's my least favorite body part. Here are my final numbers:

Alas, I could not do any pullups or chinups today. I haven't been sleeping well the last few days and I'm surprised I've been able to do as much as I've done.

Lawnmowers: Week 5 - 30.5#, Week 12 - 35#
21s: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 16#
One-Arm Cross Body Curls: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 16#
Elbows-Out Lawnmowers: Week 5 - 30.5#, Week 12 - 36#
Standing Bicep Curls: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 19#
One-Arm Concentration Curls: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 19#
Reverse Grip Bent-Over Rows: Week 5 - 29#, Week 12 - 31#
Open Arm Curls: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 18#
Static Arm Curls: Stayed at 15#. I started out with 4 reps at 15# and worked my way up to the 16 reps.
Congdon Locomotives: Week 5 - 13#, Week 12 - 19#
Crouching Cohen Curls: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 19#
One-Arm Corkscrew Curls: Week 5 - 12#, Week 12 - 19#
Seated Bent-Over Flys: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 21#
Curl-Up/Hammer Downs: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 15#
Hammer Curls: Week 5 - 15#, Week 12 - 15#. Started with 4 reps and worked up to 9 reps.
In-Out Hammer Curls: Week 5 - 13#, Week 12 - 15#
Strip-Set Curls: Week 5 - 7 reps at 13#, 8 reps at 10#, 8 reps at 8# and 8 reps at 5#. Week 12 - 5 reps at 19#, 6 reps at 16#, 5 reps at 15#, 6 reps at 13#. (I didn't have the right weights to go down 5# at a time).

As you can see, I'm a lot better at back than biceps but my bis still improved in some areas, so I'm happy with my results. I don't know what it is about hammer curls, but my arms always felt like they gave out on me.

So did all of you do the preorder?

Deanie - How's your DH doing with his injury? Is he back to normal? It's good you finally got a restful morning.

Gin/Tracee - Hope you had great workouts today.

Tracee - Hope your DS is having a good recovery now.

Marcy

Hey Marcy~ I think you had a great workout. I also am able to go heavy for back. I think because its a large muscle, you can lift more. I also liked weeks 1-3 upper body workout the best. I will pm you my email when you are ready to show your before and after pictures. I'm sure your before was good, looking forward to seeing your after. My DH is still hobbling around. I've asked him a couple of times to make an appt. for physical therapy, but he's yet to do it.:( I did the preorder. I was surprised though, I thought the presale price would be less, but I was going to order no mattter what the price.

Off to Ritas ices and the pool!
I realize why I haven't been on the boards to much~ I'm at the pool every day from 1ish to 5:30. Love the summer!:)

Deanie

Deanie - I'm jealous. I wish I was at the pool! I guess that's why I don't see you on in the afternoons anymore. I have to get my DH to take my pictures and then download them along with the others so it may take a little time but I'll get them to you.

Marcy

Good Afternoon Ladies!

My DH has been working at home today and was hogging the computer, so here it is 2pm and I just now getting on. The nerve of him!;-)
I went to my yoga class and then did CK this morning.
Thanks guys for letting me know about the Classics and Cardio Hits. I think I will wait on those.
My dad called me last night to tell me that my mother was in the hospital. The drs are not sure what is wrong. She has had chest pains and very dizzy and fainting. I don't like being 4-5 hours away! I feel so helpless.

Marcy--Yes, I did pre order...YIPEEEEE!!:) Can't wait. If I send you my email address, could you send your pics my way also?

Deanie--I AM excited about the road trip. Just wish that you guys were going to be there too!:( Have you used your new ipod yet? I remember going to the pool when my boys were young. I played "Monkey in the middle" last week in the pool with my nephews. What were the pre-sale prices with the last pre-order? I got in on the tail end and paid $85 (ship. inc.)

Tracee--Have a great day!

Gin
:)

Hi Gin:

I'm so sorry about your mother. I hope she's going to be okay. Yes, I will send my pics when I'm done. I wish I was going on the road trip too. Money's kind of tight right now so we're not doing too much.:( I think I paid $69.99 on the last preorder plus shipping. So is it real hot and sticky by you like it is here, 93 degrees and humid?

Tracee - Hope everything is well.

Marcy

Hi,

In case any of you girls are interested, there is a seller on ebay, roleez1, who is selling the following P90X DVDs:

Back & Biceps - 7.99
Chest & Back - 9.99
Chest, Shoulders & Triceps - 9.99
Shoulders & Arms - 9.99

Shipping is $3.10. This is a very good seller. I've bought from her before. There is 1 day, 6 hours left to the bid.

I know it was hard for all of you with all the switching of disks but it's much easier when you have it on one disk. All of the above have Ab Ripper X included on the disks as well.

Marcy

Marcy--
Thank you for the well wishing concerning my mother. I'm about to call to find out how she is doing today.
It is typically in the 90's and humid here in TX, but right now it is pouring down rain and it has been for the last few days and is supposed to continue. My DH is in the basement now trying to mop up the floor where the water is seeping through the FLOOR!!x(

I thought we were doing Debbie's "Get Ready for Summer" rotation. It may not be all that different.

Gin

Okay, this is the Get Ready for Summer Rotation. It's pouring here in NY too. Did you ever get any bids for your basement yet? I'm keeping my fingers crossed you get something reasonable.

Marcy

Hey guys

Gin~ I hope all is well with your mom. It is hard when you don't live close. Please keep us posted.

Marcy~ The above rotation is the updated with the new dvd version of fitness freaks get ready for summer. I like her older/original one better and will do that, but I am subbing the new dvds for the circuits (except HSTA~ I am still going to do that one) Hope that makes sense.

Tracee~ Hope all is well with you.

Deanie

Now I'm going to have to think about this. I printed out both rotations and I'll let you know what I decide.

Marcy
