Good Morning Girls :)

Today I did Cardio Kicks. I know I always alternate between this and KPC for my favorite. But today I decided THIS is my favorite. I always feel it all over! Arms, legs, abs, all the way thru the workout! I like the cardio part incorp. so much kickbox, less high intensity drills more kickbox feel. Anyway, fun workout today!

I set up to do HSTA for tomorrow (the leg press workout) and I think I am going to alternate doing the leg presses with the band and with weight. I always feel it in my legs more with the band for some reason.

Marcy~ I posted last night~ I was impressed with your shoulder workout yesterday!

Cheryl~ Any post is fine~ long or short:) I always feel my posts are so long!

It looks rainy here~ finally, so we are staying in and doing the big clean today! The kids rooms are trashed (big surprise right?~ they are boys) and the playroom is trashed. I am sure you will hear the whining when I tell them the game plan today:) Maybe Slurpees for a treat afterwards!

Hi guys. Sorry for missing another check in day yesterday but sometimes I just am not in a very good mood and feel that if I came in to post I would just bring a negative vibe. Kind of similar to what Cheryl was saying in her last post. Anyway, it's just been a bad week and my moods (especially when I have to come in to work) have been really bad.

I did manage to do my workouts yesterday and today though so that has kept me feeling good. I'm still a day behind and not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow. I'd rather do HSC but since I just did SS Upper Body today I might need a day off before doing more weight work.

Deanie - good luck on the clean day. I fail miserably when it comes to getting my boys to clean their room. It's been a pigsty for months now. Good thing they rarely have friends over or they would really be embarrased. Ha!

Okay, now the sun is shining the kids have just finished breakfast, and it looks like another day of no cleaning:( My cleaning lady is going to be very unhappy with me next week!!

Tracee~Welcome back:) and I'm glad you still did your workouts even when you were in a bad mood. Sometimes they will make your mood better! I would either take tomorrow off or do cardio only.

I didn't see this thread so I posted earlier in another. And here I thought I started it all today. I'll copy what I posted:

Good Morning All!

I can't believe I'm starting the thread today! Totally shocking! Today was Rest Max and Clean Max but I really should've done Stretch Max because my hamstrings have been killing me since Wednesday's workout and then I went dancing last night so they're really fried.

Gin - How's your mom doing? Are you getting your workouts in?

Cheryl - No need to apologize, you're not being rude. I hope things work out in school and you have a great workout!

Deanie - I haven't looked at the blog yet. I hope there's an update. Kickbox looked real good to me too but I think, like Cathe, High Intensity Step will be my favorite. Thanks for the comment about my shoulder work. The 12s were tough and I wasn't able to get my arms up as high as I should have so I'll be sticking with this weight for awhile. I guess shoulders are my favorite body part.

Tracee - Hope you have a great workout. Welcome back! We missed you. Cleaning isn't one of my best workouts either but with trying to sell the house, it seems like it never ends. At least we're getting rid of a lot of stuff. I agree with Deanie. Do some fun cardio.

If you didn't yet, check the blog. There's music details and lower intensity step details. This also sounds like another great workout. She does shoulders, core and calves in this one. A nice change of pace. Sounds like fun choreography.

I'm also very excited after reading the blog updates. So far these workouts sound like so much fun to me and unlike a few other posters that commented on the Ask Cathe forum I'm going to enjoy them more if they have fewer breakdowns. :)

I also wish I could afford to buy some of the clothing at OHMYBOD. Even with the discount I don't think I could justify spending that kind of money on something that no one sees me in. Ha!

Thanks Marcy and Deanie for the suggestion of doing a fun cardio tomorrow. I think I'll do that instead of sticking to the planned rotation.

I agree. The clothing is way out of my price range too even with the discount. I've bought most of my workout wear at Modell's and it works fine for me although I admit I really do like the stuff at OHMYBOD. It seems like it's good quality but the prices are just really outrageous. I also agree about the breakdowns. I had a tough time with Tracey's HISM last week but I know I'll be glad there's no breakdowns when I finally learn it. When Tracey made her last batch of new workouts, she included a tutorial DVD free of charge for the people who needed a breakdown which I thought was a very nice gesture. She had three new workouts on one DVD coming out shortly for only $15.00 presale called the Parts Series (Glute Camp, Strictly Upper Body and Total Body & Stretch (which includes yoga and pilates)). I think they're only 30 mins. for each workout plus premixes and abs in every workout. She's also offering HISM 2 which she says she burned 950 calories doing! You know I'll be getting all of these. I also won Step Boxing by Kelly Coffey-Meyer for $6.98 including shipping. That's the kind of price I like!

I'm glad I'm not the only one not getting the clothes. When I read about the discount, I got all excited and went over to ohmybod.com to see how much the workout stuff is. Still to expensive for me, even with the discount! I got my stuff at Dicks Sporting Goods. They were reasonably priced. I got 4 pants and 4 tops(with good support~ hard to find) last April(06) and they are still in good shape. I didn't need new workout wear, but I would have liked one of Cathes. Sometimes I will spend more money than I would like, if its something of quality, but not for workout wear. Like Tracee said, no one's going to be seeing me in it.

I am very happy with the descriptions of the workouts on the blog! I don't like a lot of breakdown, which is why I like Cathe. Once I learn a routine, I don't want to be going thru a long breakdown every time afterwards. I actually think thats a key strategy(?) for advanced excersisers.

I wanted to add, if I was getting an outfit, I would pick High Intensity Steps outfit! (second choice: low intensity step) I guess I like the blue!

How about you guys?

I actually like the Low Intensity Step the best (navy/white), probably high intensity step second. I'm really not a brown person so I don't care for the Boot Camp outfit. I'm thinking once I get the new series, I might just do a rotation with the new series for the whole month and Friday as yoga day. This way I get everything in - strength, cardio and yoga.

I'm looking forward to what Cathe cooks up for us rotation wise, with the new dvds. If I don't like it I'm with you. I may also add a half hour or so of kickbox or treadmill to make 6 workout days.

I like the blue and white outfits the best and then the brown ones. I also like the look of the knee length pants but didn't see those offered at the website. Maybe they were altered. I can't remember what the other colors were.

I agree that these workouts will make a nice rotation all by themselves. Can't wait to get them.

Hi all,

I'm sure you're all in bed, as that is where I'm headed next, but I wanted to post real quick. I did KM today and it went ok. I still can't match Cathe on the blasts (rats!), but I do my best. I have core syn w/ GS back and I'm a bit concerned about the core syn part...it was always hard for me. I think cause I'm so weak...lol!

Oh well. Sorry about my post yesterday. I got really stressed cause I thought a HUGE portion of my presentation was due today and it's really due Aug 27th. I'm losing it :) Thanks, Deanie for letting me rant and rave. I'll try to tone it down.

So, do you all really like the new outfits? I think they are ok, but I kinda like her nike ones from the last DVD's (well, the ones where she wore nike). I liked the past ohmybod ones too...these ones seem to be lacking something. You know, too much of one color is not good on me. I need something to break it up so people can't see the 'real me' :p

oh well...maybe one day :)
