Days of rest question for Cathe or anybody....

I want to concentrate on my legs, only, for a while and I can't remember how the days of rest for the muscles go. If I train them on let's say Monday, can I train them again on Wednesday or do I have to wait until Thursday? I plan on doing 3-4 days of cardio so on the days I don't do cardio I want train my legs. I may even do legs and cardio on the same day, but like I said i can't remember the "resting" rule. Thanks for your help!

The general concensus for resting muscle groups is 48 hours. So, if you work your legs on Monday, provided you are not feeling too sore, you should be able to work them again on Wednesday. Obviously, listening to your body is the most important thing, so if on Wednesday they are still really sore, I would wait until Thursday.

ditto to what Kaz says! If you aren't sore, then you can work your legs Monday, then again 48hrs later on Wednesday.
I work my legs (w/weights) 3x/week, usually in a Mon-Wed-Sat order or Tue-Thur-Sat, that way at some point my legs actually have 2 consecutive days off.

Just don't work them 2 days in a row, your muscles need time to recover and repair, so even if you THINK you feel fine, don't do it! Give your body/muscles the time they need to adequately recover and repair.
