Dateline on Sunday night

Did anyone catch the Dateline show last night? I was just going through stations and it caught my eye. It was the Diet Challenge, where 6 people were planning on going to their 25th class reunion but wanted to drop weight. It ranged from 30-100 pounds and they all went on something different. One was WW, one was extreme exercise, one did Slim Fast, one did the Jorge Cruise, one did Hypnotherapy and one went on Atkins. This was over a 10 month period and Dateline followed each of them through their pitfalls and successes. They all were successful, some more than others. The full story is at www.Dateline.msnbc.com

It was quite interesting to watch.

I've seen an earlier version of this show. I remember the guy who went under hypnosis had the best results. :) But this might be an update to that one because, the hypnosis guy ended up in 5th place.

I actually saw this one last night! I usually don't watch much TV but this was on while making dinner. It was interesting, especially the one gal who at age 43 decided to run a marathon. I was happy for all of them and the work that they put into their individual programs. Actually, the one gal who did Jorge Cruise didn't impress me that much with her results. Maybe it was the lack of exercise? Alexis

I didn't see it, I was cooking dinner, but my husband did. It motivated him to try and lose 20 pounds! We'll see if he sticks with it this time.........!

I watched it and was glad that the one of the weight-loss attributes that all of the participants shared included exercise AND that they gave the participants a realistic goal of 9 months instead of something ridiculous like 6 weeks.

But, the experience of the woman who ran the marathon, even though she was very inspiring, had "impending injury" written all over it. I hope she doesn't give up on running because of her arduous experience with it.
